Hey friends! Based on a request, I’m giving you guys a flip-through of the First Language Lessons: Level 4 curriculum. This is new to us this year and I’m hoping it’s a good addition! I can keep you guys updated on how it’s working for our family as we get more lessons under our belt!

Thank you so much for making this video. Incredibly helpful ❤. TWO QUESTIONS FOR YOU. 1.Are the Dictionary and Letter Writing Skill sections the exact same as they made for FLL level 2 & 3? 2. Do the copywork, dictation and narration exercises in level 4 come up as frequently as they did in level 3, or have they scaled it back in this level? Thank you so much!

How does it instruct you to memorize the poem? It looks like just one day has the poem written out. So what does it ask you to do to memorize it?

How repetitive would you say these levels are? I'm trying to choose between level 3 or 4.

There is always some level of review, but I do think that each level is significantly different and builds on each other. Level 4 does a much greater in depth study of sentence diagramming than level 3.

What ages are your children you use this with?

I was using FLL Level 4 with my 4th grader. It does have a lot of basic sentence diagramming and I'm not sure my 3rd grader could handle it at that age.
