First Laps and FIRST RACE!! - Homemade HOT WHEELS Racetrack

The Speedway is ready for its first test laps... and what better way to run test laps than to just start racing?
The track is complete, but I can't say it's "finished" if you know what I mean. The process is going to take some more testing and fine tuning to get the speedway exactly the way I want it, but why not document the whole process and run some races throughout?
The Father's Day Showdown is fast approaching, so we've gotta work the bugs out of this track soon.

"Sorry little car, you don't have what it takes" LOL. Looking good man. I suggest you don't want to change the start gate angle too much or you will have cars jumping over the gate at the start, but you do need more slope. I'm assuming that those are stock cars. If you add dry lube they would go faster I'm sure. But still, you need more slope in that 1st straight. I'm assuming you are planning on extending the track longer too. I'm always looking for track hosts to help with multi-track tournaments. I like the track to be able to handle two rows of 3 at the start gate and to have a lap timer. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! Yes, these were stock cars. I figure if I design the track based on slow-ish cars then fast, modified ones are guaranteed not to struggle with it. I lengthened the front stretch today and it definitely helped.

Your track is coming a long nicely, the only suggest I have is on the first turn, maybe try to replace the first crash racers corner with a spoolheads open 180, they have a wall on the bottom of the turn so a car won’t go down below, you can find them by searching on google or on KZfaq. Hope things continues to go well.
