We used to have really senior defender with Per Koscielny Monteal Vermaelen Sagna to defend our team. Now we have all young player. But it does not matter because they perform so well.

That Vermaelen first goal, i watched the game, and seeing that again now, i realized time is fly.. i miss the excited feeling when Arsenal plays whoever we face there is an optimism "yes we must win this match" but since Wenger left that kind of excitement has gone, i hope this season Arteta can reach UCL spot

Keown the goal machine! First and last goals only nine months apart. A loyal Gunner for 11 years and it’s his skill in helping us keep over a hundred clean sheets that we love him for.

No Tony? A bit weird considering he was a great defender and an excellent captain and better than most of the rest except for Campbell. Campbell is the only name on the score sheet we came close to lifting the Big Ears and his first goal was against Chelsea coming from Spurs my legend!

During beginning of 08/09 or 09/10 (forgot) season, Gallas and Vermaelen were freeflow scoring machine.. i remember when in a match the commentator literally said.. "here comes arsenal topscorer" when gallas started to dribbling 😂🔥

In Wenger's era, only Adams, Keown and Toure won EPL as key players and they're the true legends because of that. The rest were just squad rotation players and most of them never won EPL for us

We've not that great on the pitch and it's starting to rub off in videos now 🤔😲☹ Martin Keown's first goal for Arsenal in *December 1999* and his last in *September 2000!!??* 😲 This is shockingly bad facts considering that his first goal for the Gunners was in the *Premier League 1994-5 season* _(But at least you got the team he scored against right!)_ and he played for the Gunners till the *end of the 2003-2004 season.* 12 seasons in total. Not just the one! _Who ever found out the stats for this video is as bad as Arsenal's current Technical Director is at signing a good striker!!_

How would you put Per on this list with Arsenal top defenders. Some players are just lucky , that all I have to say. I know some of you will disagree with me but he wasn’t good enough.

Have you ever seen him play??, 100+ caps for Germany, there's reason behind that. He might be slow, but his defensive reading and recovery was really good not mentioning his aerial ability, when he pair with speedy athletic CB like Boateng to compliment his weakness, or play with 3 CB system, you would know how great he was

He really reminds me a lot of Tony Adams... without alcoholism and drunk driving of course. He might be very slow but was the best at positioning and able to read the game or take a big risk.
