I noticed you put the paddle tail lure differently @ 1.02. I hang the lure with the tip of the tail point down vs yours pointing up as the hook point. Since fishing is all about details, I always wondering which way will create more action in the water.

That's an interesting way of doing it! I think that if they're even the slightest bit hungry, the profile and color doesn't matter. My main concern is having a sharp exposed hook.

Bending it in half and hooking it in the middle might create a ton of action too… But it sure won’t look natural! You could always use a pool or go to the shallows to watch your swimbait move to see works better for ya

@@humbugvideosThere are a few rods in the $50 range that have been lowkey goats for me, maybe you’ve had the same experience with these or might want to try them out for yourself: Okuma Celilo 10’ casting rod, heavy 20-60lb rating. Very light, strong backbone, and very, very sensitive. Don’t be deceived by it’s heavy stats. You could fish for sardines on it, or pull in some sharks or halibuts. Extremely underrated. Ugly Stik Elite 6’6” spinning rod., medium 8-17lb. I feel everything on this rod, and is my go-to for everthing. You could probably lift and anvil with it not breaking. I’ve caught more fish on this than any of my dozen rods. Goture 6’ jigging casting rod. EXTREMELY light weight for jigging. People have caught tunas on this. Even the boat captains on the charters I’ve gone on have been impressed.
