First Look: 2019 Orbea Oiz

In this video, Alvin from Contender Bicycles gives us the first look of the all-new 2019 Orbea Oiz. After years of hearing that “XC is dead”, we’re seeing a bit of a resurgence. Awesome first look at a very interesting bike. What size seat comes on the LG? Another reviewer stated a narrow 135mm saddle, does it feel narrow?

Thanks for watching! The saddle that comes on the 2019 Orbea Oiz M10-TR is the Selle Italia X-LR Ti Flow. For an additional $100 you can upgrade to the carbon railed version of this saddle to save some weight. The saddle measures 131x266mm. Most riders really like this saddle, it is definitely narrow however it allows you to move around easier while tackling technical terrain. If you were looking for something a little wider we would recommend anything in the 142mm category.

Nice bike! Would you recomend version 120 / 120 bike for someone recreational, who drive 80% gravel and quite easy single tracks and other 20% maybe some more hard trails decends. Would be TR option maybe to much? Or would be better option 100/100 bike w drop seat maybe?

I'll be moving to Saratoga Springs from Oklahoma City in March. What bike would you guy's recommend in the $1,500-$2,000 price range? I'd like full suspension for the kind of trails that I've seen are out there. Thanks for the help!

Hi Ryan. We do have a really good deal on a 2018 Scott Spark 720 Demo Bike. The bike is regularly $3,600 and is on sale for $2,299. Otherwise another great option would be the Scott Spark 960. They are aluminum bikes, full suspension and list brand new for $1,999.
