Been cruising with Royal for the past 15 years and I’m pretty excited for this new masterpiece.

Never been on a cruise, but always considered it. My only concern is that it might just be too many people for me. I feel like anything you wanted to do there would be a big line and a big wait.

As a family in their mid 30s with two kids less than 5, and currently Emerald, we’re so excited to see this new iteration of ship and will definitely be sailing on it when we can.

I'm not as kid focused as RCI overall is (I don't have kids) but this ship does excite me. An expanded suites-only area and adults-only area make up for any further focus on kids. The second suites only eatery and the fully enclosed hybrid aqua theatre and cafetwo270 are favourite parts! Also, several of those slides look like they'd be lots of fun!

I like Icloud 17 to relax with my husband and Surfside to be with my niece and the family. She is 2 now and when I had her I did not have to be standing just watching her. Love it!!!

I just booked a Junior Suite for July 2024 on the Icon of the Seas, then I saw this video and couldn't be more thrilled for that trip....My kiddo is going to love it!

Breathtaking!!! I was sure Icon was going to be impressive but honestly it has surpassed my expectations. When you look at Wonder of the Seas, you think how can Royal Caribbean be even more creative and innovative and they absolutely delivered an incredible design!!!

As a traveler on the older side who no longer travels with his adult children I’m dismayed by the loss of The Solarium.

Icon is so beautiful and am sure those lucky enough to enjoy her will have a great time. Won’t be coming to OZ so will have to wait on this one

when i looked at the ship, i knew it would be a game changer for the ship industry and the ship looks amazing!!

I don't even have kids but the way ship is made like fun even for us singles. When I first saw the announcement of this ship I was blown away. The water slides and I'm so glad those are included and they didn't do like carnival where they put something cool on the ship but make you pay for it. I love the family area I feel like this will take some of the traffic away from the pool deck. Also I do wish that the adults only area had been maybe a revamped solarium just because if the weather is bad outside you're not going to be able to enjoy that area the way it is maybe on future I can class ships still do something about that. I cannot wait for the vloggers to get on this shelf and do a full walkthrough I'm really jealous that I'm not a KZfaqr so that I can be on the inaugural sailing. All the ones saying that the ships too big too much they need to do smaller ships they still have smaller ships and if they continue to be booked then they won't go anywhere me personally even though I don't have kids I feel this mega ship is going to be so much fun and we'll be booking for 2024.

Don't have vertigo or fear of water or hights when going on this ship. It's a beautiful, entertaining ship. 🚢

I think this will be my absolute favorite cruise ship. So many cool things/changes on board. freaking amazing. i cant wait to go on board. My favorite place will be at the back the infinity pool with music and the flowrider at side.

Since there is no solarium; I didn't see any enclosed pool or hot tub area on the ship. Always a good place to go when the weather is cool or raining.

That infinity pool is gorgeous along with the panoramic ocean view windows ! I'm so excited But I don't see a huge movie screen and how many restaurants there are going to be. Definitely awaiting more info.

Icon of the Seas will be an amazing ship. I will probably need 2 or more weeks to see and enjoy it all. I believe it will not be inexpensive at all. But looking forward to sail in it. I just love it!!!!

i’m amazed by how elevated and innovative this boat is, it’s almost unreal! but with this big of a boat and having so much too offer on it, who would want to go off? as amazing it is, i’d imagine you’d forget that you have to get off the boat to go to the actual destination(s)… and you’re only on the boat for such a short period of time. i don’t know, the boat is impressive but it almost seems a little overkill in a way. wish i could explain that better

Very cool mega ship! Personally I like the older smaller ones myself. But that’s just me in a sea of millions of people. I get that the market has to grow so we all can flourish and continue to enjoy the class of ship we each like. Hopefully they also understand that and do not end up ditching the small classes of ships. Mega ships are awesome but they have there down falls just like a vision or freedom class ship does.

I went with my daughter on wonders of the sea for their first run and I thought it was huge and icon of the sea is larger wow wow amazing.

I’m definitely a fun and risk taking and young at heart,person but this ship is overwhelming. I would definitely go down the water slides but personally I could not put up with the noise and just relax which I’m sure there are some areas to relax and be among adults. The colors are beautiful but too extreme the state rooms are very welcoming and beautiful. I don’t think I would sail on this but that’s me. I think the video deserves a hands down as excellent. Thank you, I almost had feeling I was onboard.

This truly is a beautiful ship. Royal is definitely making the cruise ship the destination…. However, I’d like to see Royal make a new smaller size ship. As a person who sails frequently from Baltimore, these types of ships can’t sail under the bay bridge. It would be so wonderful for Royal to make a new concept smaller ship for the people like me who prefer the smaller ship experience and who sail from smaller ports….

We nicknamed the Edge Class from Celebrity as Boo Boo, the NCL Prima as Moo Moo, and now the Icon as Baby Girl! She is absolutely spectacular and can’t wait to hear more about her and sail on her! Still waiting for any cruise to out the first fondue restaurant at sea!

-Had a chance to experience Spectrum of the Seas last June 21,2023. And our experienced is so amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there❤❤❤

This is going to be a great experience for my family and I. Looking forward to cruising Q1 2024.

Initial thoughts after watching this: As a mainly solo cruiser and definitely not someone who cruises with a family, I definitely prefer the Oasis class still. The Aquadome is by far my favorite addition and reminds me of the Crown Jewel in the Singapore Airport. The staterooms also seem like a pretty big upgrade. Everything else doesn’t seem that cool to me. I think i’d rather have the solarium and I will take the boardwalk over surfside any day of the week. Overall I wish they would’ve done something totally different rather than just add a few things here and there to what would otherwise be an Oasis class ship

Its nice, but looks more like Oasis class 2.0 than a different ship design. Would have liked to see I fly and some new restaurant venues. Overall mixed feelings about it.

The ship def looks amazing. Even if RCL isn't your cruise line I think all hardcore cruisers will want to check it out.

Love it. Just came of the Wonder twice this year and it was great! Love this one too cant try to get on it. Bit too much targetted for kids for me (i dont have kids) but still looks great. Love the infinity pool and bars and the new solarium setup.

Very interesting discussion of this new ship! I like how colorful it is and the designs of the neighbor hoods! I myself at one point wanted to go on the big ships but, since Covid I am not interested! It seems it too much about the ship and not of the ports! I mean I want equal interest/ desire in both port and ship! The amount of people on this cruise is too much, I feel like a lot of areas will be too crowded, no thank you! 😂😖

I guess I’m the target audience with young kiddos but I’m excited that there are more kid friendly spaces…that will definitely make other areas more adult friendly. Cruisers without kids probably never realized how little was truely kid friendly which definitely makes it hard to enjoy as a parent. Guess I’ll have to fly to Florida to check it out! (Typically drive to the NY, NJ, MD ports for convenience)

Since empty-nesters and other adults traveling without kids spend a lot more money per person than families traveling with kids (who are often noisy and running), it is puzzling as to why Royal Caribbean would make a ship as awesome as this and then fit it with so much to attract passengers who spend less. Create a similar ship with an adult water park and solarium with fewer screaming kids amenities, and those of us who have been cruising with Royal Caribbean for many years, as well as those who are starting their frequent cruise lifestyle, would definitely enjoy this class of ship a lot more (and spend more money aboard).

I’m sailing on her in October! Will be my first RCL cruise! Staying in the Surfside neighborhood! Can’t wait!
