Spoilers: For those who don't know of all the brothers: Jack was electrocuted at age 5. David died of enteritis while wrestling overseas. (edit I previously said it was toxic shock. I was getting him, and another brother's ailment mixed up). That left Kerry, Kevin, Mike, and Chris. Mike was skinny, but tough. He committed suicide. Chris was the youngest. He never had the same physical build his older brothers did. He committed suicide. Kerry was supposed to be in the 1980 Summer Olympics in track and field on the discus. The olympics were boycotted that year. Kerry at some point crashed his motorcycle. He was driving barefoot if I recall correctly. He crushed his foot. The doctors pinnned it back together in the hospital, but that night he stepped out of the bed. That ripped apart everything they did. The foot had to be partially amputated. He eventually came to WWF as The Texas Tornado. He was still wrestling, his foot, and prosthetic tightly wrapped in his boot. Eventually he committed suicide. He had drug problems. I don't recall the specifics. Kevin is the sole survivor. He gave a really good in depth review for an episode of Dark Side of the Ring. He told the complete truth. He now lives in Hawaii.WWE bought the rights to World Class Championship Wrestling. Every wrestling fan loved the Von Erichs. RIP.

David didn't die from TSS. He died in Japan, at first they automatically thought drugs, then they said it was because to many Kamala" The Ugandan Warrior" belly flops across his intestines which ruptured. Mike is the one who had the TSS cause at the time I was young and didn't understand all the tampon jokes about him. Sorry not trying to argue but the Von Erich's were my childhood. I'm 52 and still have all my Mid South, and World Class autographs from the Von Erichs to Sunshine and Chris Adams.

@@aydennoah3316 Old too, but none like the Von Erichs. Iron Sheik surprisingly to 81, but for many years he was on drugs, and crippled. Kamala the Ugandan Giant, really Jim Harris from MS made it to 70, but he was a double amputee from diabetes.

I’m from Dallas and I remember watching these legends on Friday nights at the Sport Atorium. Wrestlers from the 80’s were bigger than life superheroes! I really miss those days and the memories will forever be fond! RIP to the Von Erich’s and all of the legends from that era! 👍🏽❤️🙏🏽

I ADORE THIS MOVIE! I felt so connected to Kevin’s character & struggles while not having much in common on the outside, we had a lot in common internally. His acting made me feel that & I got SO emotional esp at the end.❤ Every character felt REAL- it’s a raw, real portrayal

I was too young and too far from the area to follow the Von Erichs. I do remember when the Texas Tornado burst onto the scene. He was a firecracker and it seemed like the whole world popped when he made an entrance. I dont know if a year passed and just like that poof he was gone

2 things. Zac should’ve been playing Kevin due to to his stature and acting ability. (Kevin outlives his family). Need a good actor for that role. Also MJF should be playing Gino Hernandez a big piece of WCCW history and a man that passed away mysteriously at his peak.

Gino & Kerry are the only two reasons I ever got into wrestling. Our neighbor, during that time was was the wwf announcer, & I distinctly remember Gino’s cause of death was suicide… a few years ago I looked up the date & was caught by surprise when it wasn’t listed as such.

Kerry was so cool. All around nice guy. Many people can say they're not racist but this guy didn't have to say anything. He didn't discriminate and his whole personality was just kind. Like a huge teddy bear with Master skull crushing CLAW. Just don't poke the bear and you won't get the CLAW.

I like the movie don’t get me wrong and the story was incredibly emotional and touching but it was incredibly fast paced and it seemed that everything occurred all at once. It should’ve been a three part tv series at least. The deaths were too unrealistic occurring essentially one after another without any breathing space or room to acknowledge what just happened. It was great but some flaws for sure

Why is Efron so buffed up when the character he plays isn't. The only one of them who was really buffed up like that is Kerry. Kevin is more fitness fit not bulged up. And Jeremy looks nothing like Kerry. He's about half his size. I think maybe they gave the actors the wrong characters to play.
