Nice models, I’m not sure I’ll use them, I prefer 240cm square bales. I think the last time I used a round baler, was the self propelled Vermeer one, I think I made a bale or 2 just to see what it was like. The year one season pass was a waste of money for me, I don’t think I’ve used any of it, and there isn’t enough words to describe how much I hate forestry. But we will see I won’t pass final judgement until I’ve used it myself

The static wrapper, looks like it lends itself well to a telehandler - reach in to load a bale, then grab the ejected one before you leave. Just have to load it on the ejection side of the wrapper. However, I'm a bit disappointed in the equipment capabilities, cannot handle large rounds (not surprisingly for the wrappers, but the bale grab too?!) the square things can only handle smallest size. Frankly if I'm going for small wrapped bales, I'd use the Vicon/Kubota Fastbale!

My wife bought me the second year pass so I downloaded it. I don’t care much about the balers, there’s lots of balers that I like more. But… I’m very impressed with the stationary ones. Played with them yesterday and I actually love them. Now we need a Maizeplus update to use these balers with. Atm I just edited my animalfood xml so that I can use the sugarbeet cut bales in my mixerwagons. 👍 The only thing I wish for now, is for Giants to add some simulator stuff in future dlc (crop rotation, bale rotting, germination, etc).

I agree David the stationary balers are my favourite part of the pack too. I've had issues creating the bales on maps with extra crop types on them (like Alfalfa) I think the new bale types may need to be added to those maps. As for heavier simulator stuff, I think that might not comin in DLC but more likely in the next game update.

Great demonstration of the new DLC FSG and very nicely presented all you need is a auto load trailer next to the static bailer and a loading wagon and you could automate it quite easily very impressive great work as always 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you have an auto load trailer there, it will most likely grab the non wrapped bale.

Hello, since you are a partner with Giants, do you know if they have plans of giving us the option whether or not to wrap a bale? I really miss that option so you can keep the bales at the same size and only use one baler, instead of having to switch bale sizes to prevent them being wrapped. If i remember correct, that option was available in a mod on a wrapper/baler in FS19.

Yes you can do that, I talked about it but didn't demo it as it works the same as TMR and Sugar Beet Cuts

Tried to use the stationary bailers to bale TMR and sugar beet cut on edgewater sacks and also upper miss and it will not bale for some reason! Stops at 15l and won't take anymore into the baler! You can fill the loading tray completely though which is really strange

I find the bale wrapper counter productive if you have to move them out of the way all the time as well a bit of faff. Wont be purchasing for that reason. Shame. The test would be having an auto bale trailer near by any chance of testing.?

I park my stationary baler in front of my bale storage shed so it auto drops the bales into the shed. But for some reason I'm having trouble with it wrapping the grass bales now.

Great first look video! Sadly i believe Giants are just wasting time with these machine DLCs when they should be fixing and adding meaningfull gameplay features into the sim. I know there are some features added for console players but this is starting to get annoying. Every feature they add was already there made better by modders just to be ruined by Giants when implemented in the base game.

I see your frustration, and it's a discussion that comes up regularly. I don't think you can compare big gameplay changes with vehicle DLCs however. They overhauled logging in the expansion in November, with some big gameplay improvements to log physics, and I expect we'll maybe see some more gameplay features when the next map releases later this year. The problem with making big gameplay feature changes is that it's a much longer drawn-out development cycle as the impacts are much wider as you are working with the base game code. so much more testing is required. I'm sure they'll have a team already working on improvements to the engine for the next version of the game in parallel with separate teams delivering DLC content. The developers of the Giants engine will also have a different set of skills (albeit with some crossover/similarities) from the devs creating vehicles/mods for the game. Also if Giants are approached by a manufacturer wanting their brand in the game Giants would be silly to not implement that, at the end of the day they are a business and revenues will help them drive the game forward, employ more developers and improve the game.

I’d rather they stick with vehicle packs. When they lock features behind a paywall modders can’t use it. Like the construction process, rock breaking etc in the platinum expansion. No Man’s Land would be pretty epic, or buildable placeables. But we’ll never see it happen due to the way they released it.

Great video. But I won’t buy it. Bought the first season pass and I was not impressed (my personal opinion offcourse). I would like it if Giants would actually make this game a simulator, like the title suggests, because now it’s not. They don’t cater anymore to people who actually love farming. Where’s a decent season mode, bale rotting, crop rotation, base game gps, manure system,…? They should’ve made this game like they advertise it, a simulator, and then focus on dlc. But again, that’s my opinion and the people that drive a combine at 40mph will hate me for it. But i don’t care, I’m always honest. 😉

@@TheFarmSimGuy I know that everyone plays the game he or she wants and that’s okay. But I play this game for years with fs19 being the best (with realistic mods). I just feel that Giants abondend the people that played this game from the start, people that actually love farming and want to play realistically. This game has simulator in its title so I suggests doing that but it’s not. That’s a shame. But again, that’s my personal opinion. 😉
