I need to give you thumbs up for real time frustration with Xcode and not prepared perfect demo, where everything works. Keep up the good work 🙂

I would have liked them to fix the problems they already have: 1. The change viewer: it gets extremely slow with large files or multiple files. It is not easy to navigate as it shows you all changes in all files at once. 2. Improve the search for variable, method and declaration usage. 3. When you create a new tab in xcode it creates it with all the tabs you had open, so in the end you have two tabs with the same thing which is annoying. It would have been better to have a new empty tab. 4. The debugger is extremely slow. Doing a debug step by step is hell. that and many other things :( Xcode is really terrible when you come from testing Android Studio.

Hey Pitt! Have you tested Xcode 15 on Sequoia and tried to archive something for the App Store? I'm hesitant to update to the beta for that very usecase. Thanks for the interesting video!

I've just returned to xCode after 3 months of Flutter and VSCode... which are flying in comparison. It is almost painful how clunky xCode feels in 2024, I need to get used to it again.

Code Completion is nice, but I don't like to write such comments that carry no information other than what the function does. Code Completion should have an option to delete the comment after completion.

this doesn't look good. I would probably just write this faster x2, even if I don't remember the syntax/framework methods (including web look up). the amount of the errors that the AI does here doesn't make me think it will boost my productivity.. for now.

It looks like half of this video was you trying to figure out how to do stuff? I don't think this is a good demonstration. You were in a class called Demo which probably didn't help either...?

Just typical of today's society, aka "instant noodle syndrome". Chill out! It's in beta right now, hence the "beta" moniker.

It's funny how an old Windows laptop with 8GB of RAM and VS Code can do autocomplition, but Mac and Xcode need at least 16GB.

AI in general in crap imo, I’m not sure why it’s the hype. The only thing I liked about it is the CodingKeys autocompletion.

This feature is absolute trash. The code predictions often aren't even syntactically correct, never mind what I intended. It is worse than useless - it is distracting.

You have basically shown why everybody must avoid this garbage, it will not save you time, it will give you more work to do with lots of frustration along the way. Apple is a marketing company and if you want innovation, look elsewhere, there are other tools that are decades ahead of this.

Garbage software, hate every moment working with it.
