Good video, I just got a X5 for my birthday , I am a beginner but have watched lots of detecting videos , so was very interested in what the display would show while you tested the detector at various depths. Still a good video congrats.

That was with the small 5x9 coil. Put the mid size coil 9x11 and get all those targets loud and clear, I know because I have an X5 and X10,

How dept could be detect?let say an object dimension is 30 by 30 cm can it detect in the depth of 2m

That's quite impressive performance given the price of the X5. Also both this and the X10 can use coils for the Q series so that opens up a lot of possibilities!

@THE COINMASTER All i can tell you is this is what Jason from Quest told me. I asked them the following: "We know that the X series can use the Q series coils but does that also mean they can use the same third party coils made for the Q series? I am thinking here particularly about the MarsMD Discovery 13” or the Tiger coils?" And this was their response: "Yes X series share Q20 40 coils. If the third party claims they fit then it’s ok to use. Won’t void the warranty. " So I would say that is a yes.

Excellent video friend, one question: what was the maximum depth at which you entered the coins, it would have been better if in your video you would have used a tape measure, greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽

Important to mention that the X5 does not have wireless audio and neither does the X10. There is a wireless symbol on the casing and Quest...very confusingly marketed the X10 as having wireless audio but it does not exist. According to Quest there is a "space" on the circuit board for wireless which might appear a couple of years down the road. Still at this price we can't complain. Best value for money detectors on the market right now.

Hi. Thabks for the nice review on this machine. I just ordered one today and can't waiy to get it. I'm enjoying the reviews I'm seeing here on KZfaq, but I'm curious as to why they are all from overseas? I can't find any reviews feim the U.S. now dont get me wrong, this doesnt matter but just got me thinking its not very popular here in America. Oh well. Wish me luck. :)

It’s been tested against the Garret 250 and was better. It don’t jump as much as Garret, gonna purchase one myself,, currently have euroace and that’s good but this looks a really good back up

Let us know how it compares to the Euroace Dan as I was thinking of getting one to replace it. With a larger coil on the x5 & x10 it may be even better....

I'm new to detecting and I am so very interested in this machine, I was going to go for a Garrett but this seems so much better, even for the rechargeable battery, and flashlight. You guys saying that it's better than the Garrett 250, wow much cheaper too!

I re done a permission with a Euro ace after the 250 and found silver and even musket balls, but 250’never picked them

Ive just got the x5..i 1st started off with the ace 150...then the 400i...had some dark times in my life and gave up the hobby..just started agian..managed to get a ace150 agian..n thought id try the x5..still to be tested..arrived today...🙂..can you remember the target ids numbers at all plz..

the is more machine at this range EUROTEKPRO 11" coil QUEST X5 (latest) recomended of course the best machine more expensive like EQuinox, Simplex I recommend this machine with STRAIGHT handle rather than S' shape handle.. i own 10detector before and now retired awhile😅😂

john rhodes Hi John. A full test will be coming later on this year with a full run through of all the features, we will also be including this model in our beach test with a video to follow.

@@thesearchermag Might have been good to do the beach test now given the time of year? Having said that I think the Quest performs way above its price range. Water resistant control box too which is also fully adjustable along with the shaft. That's some pretty good spec for an entry level machine.

Mine is beeping every single second but sometimes it doesn't, does it means that i messed up the settings or is it just that there is just alot of things under ground

Turn down sensitivity and ground balance again. Also try holding coil in air, press and hold ground ground balance button and press volume buttons to cycle channels F1 to F8 this may help you get away from a local interference frequency
