Yes Fender ... but it could be very useful if you tell the plain truth about your finish ... For exemple, it seems obvious that there is an undercoat on "thin skin" series ... polyhuretane ? There is lot of forum where people discuss about this. But what is the truth ? There is this : www.fender.com/articles/tech-talk/the-science-and-style-of-finishes but it's not precise ! I meen, what do you use as undercoat sealers ? what are difference between nitro in "thin skin", "american original" series and custom shop ?

Lance37a absolutely, context is so important- it’s why I can’t stand Demos of gear where they scoop the mids on the amps and have no context for how it sounds in a mix, gives people no idea how risky that can be and just how fast you can drop out of a mix

The “Transition” or block Fender decal replaced it’s famed Spaghetti Logo by mid ‘64. Also by mid ‘64 gray bobbin fiber pickups started rolling into production. Many ‘64 Precision basses I’ve had my hands on featured one gray and one black pickup in it. These gray bobbin PU’s would be a regular thing until ‘68 where black ones started filtering back in. The clay dot markers remained until May of ‘65 and I’ve not ever seen any ‘64 Fender with pearloid dot markers. African Paduk would replace the beautifully formed Brazilian Rosewood used by Fender for a short time in mid ‘65. Indian RW would be used forever more after this. The Precision decal changed a bit too by ‘65. It’s patent numbers extended now fully and surpassing the PRECISION BASS lettering. The ‘64 patent number segment did not go past that PB lettering. I’m a Fender Bass geek so….sorry!

Goodness me I think some people are being a little harsh. This isnt a chat show folks. The guys are trying to sell instruments. For a seller on KZfaq I would expect someone to lead the conversation and direct questions to a brainbox of knowledge telling you the potential buyer about the new gear. As for the person leading the conversation I would also expect someone with authority. Like it or not this often seen from people who have an opinion and demonstrate excellent skills as a musician. They both do this extremely well. Also wouldn't you want someone to have opinion on music and gear if they were selling it. I mean you can just dissagree right it wouldnt stop you from buying a product from them. What else exactly would you like to see two blokes rambling on about tits and ass blazing through Van Halen solos. I'm sure it would be entertaining but they wouldnt have much buisness would they.

Jerry was playing a Strat early on.... My friends are in a legendary tribute band and they do great with Strats .... But it would be cool for Andertons to make a pedal video TRYING to get in the same realm as Jerry's tone!! 👍👍👍. Even PRS had to build a one of a kind guitar for John to do the gig & it's not Jerry's tone, it just works with the band. That's why he's the 🐐

"Let's take away all the US bass features so that it's basically a prettier looking Mexican Standard, and sell it for $1400 more than a MIM! GENIUS!" Nice job, Appl- I mean, Fender. Can we get... Iunno, maybe another dual P pickup config like the old Elite P-basses and Blacktop Jazz, or maybe some more J-buckers like the Blacktop Precision? Those are things I'd pay $2000 for if they were made well. Not... basically a more expensive MIM.

Easily the best of this series to date. Bass and guitar are natural companions. Bass x 2 are not. In addition, we get to hear both instruments "in a mix". Also, Nathan is extremely annoying. He is constantly trying to wrong foot his co-presenter. For me, it quickly came to the point where I would not watch this series if Nathan was present. Personally, I would not welcome the man back.

I dont dislike Pete, but I understand what you mean he does sometimes force the conversation his way, the worst was when he was brought in to 'EXPLAIN' to terrible mesa cab clone trying to blame Chappers and The Captain for misuse, nah the cab clone just doesnt sound great! That said since he is properly on the channel he is generally good and a really good player and a better salesman than The Captain who is sometimes too honest (which I like) for example his opinion on the Nu Tube Tubscreamer and also some of the modelling stuff he doesnt like.
