Nice. One could install a friggin wood stove in that thing too. But can you lay down in it and let it double as a tent? Ahh, I see no structural obstructions. Looks like I might have found my blind. Thanks for the review, I appreciate the look inside and the commentary. Good at ya...

Lol, you could easily sleep a couple people in cots if need be. Take care!

Just got one. I was hoping you were going to show pop up assembly, too. But good information. Thanks

The youth hunts with Florida FWC use these now as opposed to the 2 person they used to use. Now 4 people can comfortably fit in them. My youngest son shot his first buck/deer from one at 125 yards.

Nice looking blind, John. After I finish commenting, I'm going to look at the link you posted with this blind in a down pour rain. Enjoyed a full-watch. Have a fine weekend and thumbs up 👍.

Thank you sir. I'm glad our FWC started using them on youth hunts. They are very roomy, unlike the Ameristep blinds they were using.

If you shoot thru the mesh that tears it up can they be replaced?
@JohnKlopp
@JohnKlopp 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the mesh is replaceable. It's held in by Velcro. I actually ordered some on sale from Barronett when I first got the blind and still have the mesh, although I don't have the blind anymore.

How many people would you think it’d fit?

Hey Justin, the last hunt we went on and used it, we had my youngest son (12 yo) and I, the hunt master and a videographer with his video camera and tripod. And we all had backpacks and my sons rifle. There's a lot of room in them for sure, so I'd say five, maybe six if you squeeze in there. My son shot his first deer from it, a decent 7 pointer.

Just got this and was excited to set it up. It’s going back because it’s non-operational. Yet again, more Chinese junk brought to market by a company in WI.

Sorry to hear it. I returned mine because it had hundreds of tiny pinholes and leaked too much when it rained. 🇺🇲👍

Have you gotten a chance to use it in the rain yet? The holes make me nervous.

Southern Hunt-N-Fish & Thumper's Outdoors No, I was hoping it would rain one of the times I used it, but no luck. Next time there is rain in the forecast, I'll set it up in the back yard and see. I have a feeling it will leak bad, that's why I always had a tarp on hand when I used it. I'll follow up with a video and let you know.

I'm still skeptical about the shoot through mesh. Have you shot through them yet?
@JohnKlopp
@JohnKlopp 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert. I setup targets at various distances and did shoot through the mesh. I was able to get good grouping out to 40 yards which is the farthest I've shot from it so far. The only thing you have to make sure of is that your arrow clears the edge of the window. The first time I shot I didn't realize when I was aiming that my arrow was going to hit the bottom edge of the window. It actually helped my shot because I forgot to line up with my 40 pin and lined up with the 20 yard pin, but because the arrow deflected off the edge of the bottom of the window, my arrow ended up in the bull's-eye instead of the dirt in front of the target. No way I could replicate that shot no matter how many times I try.The other thing I want to mention about this blind is it is heavy and bulky. The bag that comes with it has straps on it to wear it like a backpack, but it doesn't work very well. You might want to get something that will hold the blind better on your back if you intend to carry it a long way. The guy in this video has a decent blind backpack that he uses.: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mql-mtKqsbC3Y3U.html I hope that helps,John
