BCSO was on their game, everyone else was taking their sweet time that is for sure. That FD doesn’t get a lot of accidents to deal with so maybe that is why they don’t show the same courtesy that most of the other local FD have. I feel bad for the TDCJ wrecker driver because I am sure he felt way out of his league trying to load that truck especially dealing with the TDCJ lady that was acting like she was running the show.

For one thing the city should clear the trees for the stop sign is way to far back to see and another some times it takes time for insurance red tape and documentation of the acedent sene but great job towing service thank u for ur service even tho that agencies are not friendly you held yourself professional

Gerard training institute does training for tow operators in California, we suggest using some dish soap under the tires instead of shaking vehicles off the trucks to minimize damage to the trucks. It will also help clean your bed. Stay safe out there. You have a dangerous job.

First time I’d seen a fire department put oil absorbent in the back seat of the car not contained. Just dump the shovel full mixed with parts. Lazy just pure laziness!!! Also thinks this is her scene. News flash the scene belongs to the police. Fire is only there for medical and to assist the officers. Not stand in the way because she is on a power trip.

I read a book about tow trucks when I was a kid and it was saying the most dangerous part of the job is when you are pulling the car up, the cable could snap and recoil and kill you. The truck in the book had a shield for the operator to stand behind in case this happened. What kind of safety precautions do you take to protect yourself in the event of a cable breaking?

They turned a short recovery into a long one. The other tow company was taking too long lol

I don't usually involve the fire department in my decision-making, The officers are the ones who tell me when they are good with me hooking so I keep within ear shot of them usually and they let me know when they are ready, I don't usually ask the fire department for permission to get in position or anything I just make sure they have all their shit out and no one is planning on leaving before i block exits, Aside from that the officers are the only ones who will hold me up and I have a good relationship with them all so usually we work pretty smooth together. I would quickly dispute if someone like that lady was trying to stop me from getting my shit done. Smart having the trash bag to throw in the car for the floor dry, We have been debating doing that for a while now.
