Ford hit a home run, Full electric, Mustang handling, SUV. I was blown away how user-friendly the touch screen driver settings are. On a Tesla, you are bouncing from screen to screen to access functions are change prefrences,

Yes..Fords beating them all now , especially beating Tesla. Ford has more room, stronger and go through the snow well, an issue the Telsa car always have had. Also divided by the weight and size the Ford Mac E battery lastest longer and best of all, you can actually find a garage to repair and maintain it, another downside to having a Tesla.

Kyle just love how when talking about steering feel you say it's really good, no 911, but excellent for this class of vehicle. Car looks very good, excited to see the variety of EVs for 2020/2021.

This is the first electric car outside of Tesla that feels like they've *actually* figured out the integration of all the cars functions into one UI. The experience in other cars, to me, always looks like some janky 3rd party app inside of a janky first party app.

I've heard a lot of comments from Mustang fans that hate on the Mach E. Being the owner of a (genuine) '70 Boss 302, I can understand it to an extent. BUT, this is the 1st 'Mustang' ever in which I can carry a drum kit. That is a big thing, bro.

Each driver profile gets to set and recall custom settings, and if you use your phone app as the key, it will auto select your profile and set everything when you enter the vehicle.

What’s that annoying clunk noise when you tromp on it? Overall this car seems quiet in this video. The drivability is very impressive. I like all the customizable settings. I’m looking forward to a road trip, camping mode, and charging capability. Great first review!

Did you or your passenger have any issues with your knees touching, or getting uncomfortably close to, the bottom corner of the screen? Seems mighty close...possibly an issue in cases of hard braking, or no?

I think that blinking of the driver attention system would be bothersome. Its brighter because of the sports camera, but even so if there are two blinking lights there it would be bothersome and distracting.

so, its now, 2023, a good time to pick up a Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition? I had a F-150 Lightning that I sold because I needed to travel more with my car, and I (at the time) needed a truck for work, and the CCS infrastructure sucks near Utah where I am, so I traded for a Model Y. Now, I'm thinking I may want to go back to Mach-E GT since Tesla is soon going to install magic docks and open Their network to CCS> Only Questions: Grabber Blue or Cyber Orange? TOugh one. :)

I have just read an article concerning a new Mach e driver attempting to drive from eastern PA to Syracuse, NY. Not a happy experience as the only fast charging station wasn't upgraded to accept the Ford. Other issues were Other stations didn't work or the FordPass app had discretely labeled a number of stations as coming soon. While I am considering the Mach e, stories like this in an area of the country that has many more stations available is causing me to rethink my options.

Console screen seems to be terribly over/non-responsive. Multiple tap inputs, jumpy and slow toggle. When messing around the menu that is... fine, I guess? But when trying to change options while driving that is dangerous.

@Isaac C. I'm referring to things like changing the modes like the "unbridled" mode and things like that. Obviously not going through the deep settings. But the video clearly shows them having to hit the buttons multiple times and the settings changing again after they think it's been set.

@@MasterQuatre He was tapping multiple times because he was going through the entire menus. The screen seemed responsive enough to me and there could be a setting in which you give the screen a light touch and it response right away or it can change to a hard press..

No there currently isnt one as per Ford. For us in the northern climates this will really reduce the range in cold weather. Tesla non heat pump version in the Model 3 40 to 50% range loss in cold weather. I believe that the new Model 3’s not sure of the Y but they do now have heat pumps.

That Mache-e 1400 - You better bed up wtih Vaun and RTR and share dinner over it :P - He may actually bring it out to one of your tracks to rip it thought? Also I couldn't help but stair at the range o' meter pegging 235 and less at 96% charge, when this EV has such a large friggen battery.. My Mid-Range model 3 hits 252 at that level.. Wish they would figure this battery / optimization better because that pack is so damn large.. Love the car though and glad to see competition regardless.

No, those are infrared eye tracking sensors. You can't see them at all with the naked eye.

@@mamadouaziza2536 I agree, and I don't understand that way of thinking. I got a Model Y just over a month ago, and I love it, but I really like what Ford has done here. I WANT the Mach-e to succeed, as that "should" push Tesla (and other EV makers) to strive to improve and innovate, and that benefits everyone. Competition is good!

I would be interested in seeing a cross country trip with the Mach e. I am not thrilled with the Ford Pass app and from what I can see, there are much fewer FordPass stations available. I would also like to see how well the glass roof handles heat or sun. I wish the frunk could be opened with the phone. As for the screen, I hate the volume knob and wish the screen were rotated. I can see a point later on where Ford will realize that it is an advantage to have access to such things as Netflix or such and a horizontal screen would be much easier to view. Will they offer satellite or some such access down the road too? Thanks for an another excellent review of an EV as usual!

This is looking like a really great car but I think the ID4 AWD is going to be the perfect package landing between the 2 Mach E ranges. The sleeper in the group of EVs coming is the Ioniq 5 AWD. This could be a home run. Tesla autopilot = total BS.

Someone else just posted the "fu man chu stache" on the front ruins the look. Haha I knew fomoco should've had the gt bumper put on all the model's. Like they have done on the coupe since the 2013s. That base bumper is hideous has no character at all.

I believe the "mustang" association is an error along with those silly taillights. It's a transparent marketing ploy and a missed opportunity IMO. It appears they've otherwise designed a nice vehicle and am interested in learning more in the future. I think the review could have used more comparisons to a Tesla as they are the big dog these days.

Yeah so just like he loved the Kona EV, it has had 4 recalls, owners whose motor needs replacement, and they are considering taking it off the market. Be weary of a legacy automaker and their first connected vehicle. Great car though. Been in one as well and had one on order.

@@jedisith19 The cinematographer came with Kyle and his girlfriend from NC to Colorado, they are probably all in the same residence. Also, all parties may have tested negative to the virus... I certainly don't wear a mask when I'm in the car with those that live in the same house as I do.
