I know right. I had a ceramic splinter in my eye a while ago from work, went to an eye clinic to have it removed. Damn... since I watch ASMR Vids, I was never that relaxed sitting there, having a Doctor (a gorgeous lady btw) remove the splinter during that operation. Seriously.. she was like: "You look like you are enjoying this"... Me "Well, I would lie if I said no". lol Best experience ever.

Thanks for this, hubby is freaking out, because he holds off on regular eye exam... and this time he goes in they said he may have glaucoma, and may need to get additional testing...

I've Had A visual field many times and let me tell you it makes my eyes tired as hell! I almost fell asleep on one of my visual fields because it just made me so tired !

I had my first eye exam yesterday they did everything but dilation of eyes ! However I noticed immediately dry eyes n later my eyes felt soar I slepted it off today they feel a bit soar but not that bad but I noticed small vessels red tiny ones is tgis normal ? I asked the eye place and they all where like mmm like they had no clue

24-2 Sita Standard perimetry. Next you need to do a 10-2 central field test video or a SWAP test

I think I had something similar to this done at my eye doctor. I don't remember most of it since it was a few years ago. Edit: Just to specify I had to do something similar with the first machine shown.

hmm which the op would explain more about the tests when i went....found out had closed angle glaucoma had to get laser irodotomy asap, all seems ok for now. Glaucoma is silent thief of vision, permanent vision loss and not reversible...get tested yearly or if you have major headaches with eye pain, red eyes, dry eyes,blurred vision, family history of eye problems.

That glaucoma test is terrible. You stare at a white background looking for white lights to flash for like 5 minutes at a time. You lose all sense of depth perception after a minute or two and start seeing things and weird stuff happens

Chicken Of the Cave It's hella better than that "evil demonic death bringing eye punching let me die instead " eye puff test. I literally am the most gentle and calm person but sit me in front of the puff test and I'll turn into a deathly phobic, panic attacking, Nope-Beast. I've never gotten the eye puff test and never will. I can't. I got to where i was staring at the muzzle of the fkn air gun and the second before it blasted its death bullet at my poor eye, I jumped so hard the air hit my cheek bone. No way. Nope. No. So I wish my eye Dr tomorrow has this in the vid cuz I am handle that gentle, non violent way to check glaucoma. Sadly this is a small town and well..... I'm not too optimistic. IT'LL BE A NOPE TOMORROW ALSO.

Sarienn Music i had it before, a bit nerve wracking, nothing to worry about. It was designed to sense the difference in eye pressure(how solid the eye is).

The last time I had this test, they dilated my eyes BEFORE the test. I did not do nearly as well as when my eyes were not dilated first! Can anyone comment if your eyes were dilated before this field of vision test is done? Thanks!

never had that field test before or got my eyes dilated when I went to the eye doc.usually they just show a bunch of letters and ask how it looks better,then change the prescription in their machine around.a mini test with green and red color about which one is clearer.and some drops that feel like salt water at first after which they just stare into your eyes.(weren't dilation drops though,I asked)

Steven Meyer hated it when they put drops in my eyes. Once time the drops in my left eye caused my vision to go weird as if I was on drugs or something. When I left, everything looked weird and I was freakng out. Started to cry like a little baby because I was scared that I might be hallucinating.

these test as i was young was when i knew i felt something wierd as a kid..it wasn't until i was 28 i discovered i wasn't the only one that got a natural buzz from this stuff and heard the term ASMR ....the hearing tests in elementary school used to do it for me too
