I can understand why Arkham got cancelled, because they don’t wanna get copyrighted with the villains that would be in the show and most of them were in multiple Batman movies that were used in the past universe that was created.

@@christopherlopes7321 DC still owns all the movie IP even after James Gunn. That’s why they can use Keaton and older characters in movies still, they own the rights to those versions of the characters.

I’m kinda 50/50 with the Arkham series being canceled because the show would’ve been a perfect way to introduce many of Batman Villains but at the same time don’t get me wrong I don’t hate this show but it could’ve easily turned into something like Gotham.

Think there's still a possibility this could still happen just abit further down the line. Reeves was an exec producer so maybe he's delayed this to focus on The Batman Part 2 etc I think people forget with regards to Pattinson joining the DCU not only would Reeves have to agree but Pattinson would too which I doubt, also they'd have to change the whole Bat Family aspect.

I’m in now way interested in a Gunn driven DC universe after how Henry Cavil was so publicly dismissed by him! And after WB inferred Henry would return to the role of Superman. They did Henry dirty.

The Batman is still getting a sequel and a Penguin series releasing in September. Chances are if the sequel performs well there will be a trilogy and of course Reeves has entertained the possibility of rogues spinoff films. Relax. Gunn hasn’t shown that he wants Reeves to fail cuz he also has an Elseworlds brand to protect anyway. We can bring out the torches and pitchforks if Reeves is let go and/or his franchise as a whole is cancelled.

They just need to merge Matt Reeves Batman into James Gunn’s DCU. I know Reeves wanted it separate but tough cookies. They’re both just starting off so it would make sense for them to be in the same universe.

A toxic minority wants Gunn to fail. Cancelling one project doesn’t equal failure. Creature Commandos is still on its way to release, Superman production is nearing completion, and Supergirl is set to start production before the year is over.
