They prepared us with some videos introducing Chance, He made an appearance in " House Party" .He delivered beer to the guys onstage at the concert that was a farewell to Chris ( you might want to react to " Tim Foust's Touching Tribute to Chris Rupp" ) and there is a " Between Two Tims "video where Tim interviews ...okay, roasts Chance that is funny. I remember being so worried about Chris leaving and someone new coming in. But I should have known that HomeFree would be sure to pick the right person for the job. Chris Rupp actually helped select Chance. I think their fans were welcoming, but also probably had a little concern until they saw/heard how well he functioned in the group. Love Chance!! He has been a wonderful asset to the band.

Now that you mention it, I remember learning that Chance was a friend of Jenika’s. I guess I’ve heard others talk about Chris helping pick, and thought that it would make sense that he would be in on that. Thanks for keeping me straight on those details.

To me, Chance has made their sound fuller and richer. He and Rob are my favorite leads(but I do love them all). I’m looking forward to when you react to “I Can’t Outrun You “- Chance lead, 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. I think you also need to do “End of the Road”. Gospel Rob has the main lead, and really cuts loose at the end.

Chance joining the group was an addition to the HF 'family.' There's a very touching moment (several, actually) in their version of White Christmas, between Chris and Chance. The thing about HF is that every member, past and present, is happy with where they are now.

Chris is a wonderful solo artist now, and that's what his forte is. He's F***ing awesome, and I absolutely love him. But Chance hits me different, kind of down to the soul. He fits in with these guys so well! He is definitely my unsung hero at least. Love your reactions, because you always give everyone credit for what they deserve. That's pretty special. Thank you.

I would say that there was a lot less drama with the Chris Rupp/Adam Chance transfer than the Avi Kaplan/Matt Sallee transfer at Pentatonix. Chance seemed to fit into the HF family from the very beginning. He was not a "replacement" for Chris so much as a transition to a new HF era. The addition of Chance allowed Tim more freedom within the group to explore his full range. And Chance's buttery smooth voice (with just a touch of whiskey) is a perfect complement to the other HF members.

One of my favorite Home Free covers. There is a very great behind the scenes for this one. They are actually singing here but as in almost all of their videos the separate parts were prerecorded. They are just singing for making the video. The voices prerecorded. They do have a live recording of them singing Sea Shanty live on stage and it's freaking fantastic. This prerecording is what happens most of the time with all groups on music videos. Watch the behind the scenes and you'll see them acting up and having fun as usual.

Chance had been friends with HF members for years and many of us fries knew him from being the bass in Street Corner Symphony. SCS was on a prior season of the sing off as well. I'd suggest Madness for a SCS reaction.

You two are quite fun 😊 Didn’t know until a little while later, that I had subscribe to them not too long after Chance had come in, so I wasn’t really aware of the Change like some Home Fries I first found them one day when I was looking for John Denvers “Thank God I’m a country boy” and got curious. Then I listened to “How Great Thou Art“ and was blown away. I was intrigued so since We had just seen Zootopia recently with the kids, then I listened to this song and This was the song that set the Hook in my mouth and down the rabbit hole I went, and I am still enjoying the ride. Cheers! 🎉

Good one boys. Tim said they decided to pick a song for their “small” fries. They know kids come to the concerts too so that was nice. Chance used to be a bass for his first group Street Corner Symphony. Just love him and his songwriting skills. Chance, Tim and Austin do all the writing for the group. They have some great songs. My favorite of Chance’s are I Can’t Outrun You and Yours (although he didn’t write either song). Good reaction boys!😍

We loved Chance from the beginning. Chris leaving was sad but he was moving on for a solo career. Chance has a larger range then Chris so it has allowed Tim a chance at leads and solos.

I think that Home Free can convey the emotion so well, especially with Happy songs. I think that's one of HF's greatest strengths. They don't need too much "show". The "simpleness" of many videos is therefore often enough. Just put them somewhere and they succeed. Their voices do the work. I love this song because all their voices come out so well here. I think the choice to bring Chance into the group has been the best choice they could have made. He fits perfectly into the group. A really good addition. He has such a recognizable silky smooth and sexy voice. I can't really remember that he sings a piece at the same time as Tim like here. But it sure sounds great. In some songs they do sing the bassline together, which makes the bass even more penetrating. Yes, they all sang really well. This confirms to me why they are number one for me. Someone can have such a great voice, but if it doesn't really get to me, after a few songs I'll quickly turn it off. But I can really hear Home Free all day long. And what an unbelievably freaking good one that Adam is. What great vocal sounds he does here. Not normal how good. The number one beatboxer, the best of all!!!

Chris was, and still is, a fantastic tenor-baritone, and his arrangements are genius. He is missed, but Chance brought some of the same skills as well as adding a strong foundation to the harmonies as a bass-baritone. He is also a gifted director and songwriter. I expect that the 4 Home Free members were not worried about bringing him into their tight group. Notice that Chance is wearing a T-shirt from his previous band, Street Corner Symphony (SCS). Love your reaction, as always.

I love Chris' voice and his work with #HomeFree; but now love Chance's voice too and what he brings to the group. A few MUST WATCH videos re Chance: I Can't Outrun You - video concept and direction by Chance Yours Cover Me Up - done during Covid; watch to the end Blue Ain't Your Color Helplessly Hoping - directed by Chance He first appeared in House Party, which is a lot of fun! The bathrobe from House Party makes another appearance in Can't Stop the Feeling which is another fun one! What Child Is This is a beautiful collaboration with Chris Rupp (his arrangement) and Home Free - it's another MUST, especially with Christmas on the horizon.

Chance is wearing an "SCS" t-shirt (Street Corner Symphonies) his previous band. Home Free has a series called "From the Vault" (the behind the scenes filming of their videos). The first episode is the filming of "Try Everything". I think the people doing the filming of their videos must feel like they're herding stray cats - immensely talented, funny ones - but stray cats nonetheless. #HomeFree

Chance was a great addition to HF. Chance is a baritone/bass and Chris was a baritone/tenor...so with Chance joining...it freed up Tim for more leads with Chance covering the bass! Oh yes...Chance was welcomed by everyone!

Being that I was a fan of the Sing Off from the first season, I was happy that Chris chose Adam Chance (formerly with Streetcorner Symphony who was on season 2 of the Sing Off). While I was sad to see the brainchild and founder of Home Free leave, I was excited to see Chance join! That would be great if you would actually give Streetcorner Symphony some reaction when Chance was with them (prior to 2016). Chance aactually had joined Hime Free on tour (behind stage) to learn their music and choreography.

I can recommend an interview Chris Rupp did with reactor QoFy in August 2021. Chris is very candid in it explaining why he left and that he actually was not involved in the recruitment of Chance. That he was seems to be a rumour started some years ago. Any how, the pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark of the interview.

Love Chance so much! His beautiful baritone voice really just cuts thru my soul! His songs Yours, Can't Outrun You, etc., are incredible. Some he sings with Hound + Fox are some of the most hauntingly beautiful songs! Sound of Silence and others. For fun go watch Chance singing with Street Corner Symphony -- Uptown Funk. Great fun! That was mostly what he did with them pretty much, the awesome beats of the bass. When he got with Home Free he started singing and we all learned how incredible his voice is! We LOVE him. He's totally added one more guy the band needed, even tho' we all admire and respect Chris and his talent and starting this great band! Thanks guys. Take care.

Was worried at first, but after hearing Chance on some solos ( Can't Out Run You) his voice is like Silky Smooth. Love Chris Rupp, but Chance IMO has upgraded Home Free, maybe because Chance can do bass also and some songs you get the double bass sound, and gives Tim a chance to sing higher. #HomeFree

Thanks for reacting to this older song. I love it! These guys are so talented. And Adam's beatboxing is awesome as usual. The song has a great message. It's okay to make mistakes if you can learn from them. This was Chance's first video with Home Free. I recently watched the animated movie "Zootopia" where this song is from. Very cute film. I like Home Free's version of the song better than Shakira's.

Chris left with the full love and respect of the rest of the guys to follow other projects. He is where HomeFree started and he will always be at its heart. Chance brought with him a totally different voice and the ability to sing in Bass range, this opened up a good deal of options for Tim! Tim has a 5 octave range, Chance has a 4 octave range. This means where the average group would be 2 Tenor, 1 Bass, 1 Baritone and a Percussionist...HomeFree brings with it 5 Tenors, 2 Bass, 2 Baritone, 5 Beatbox! How can anyone be mad at that! Chris is doing very well and he would never want anything but continued success for HomeFree! We as devoted fans of all 6 of these mencan only follow the lead that the group sets for us!

Adam Chance was already in Home Free's circle of friends and family. He and Tim's wife Jenika Marion Foust have been friends a long time, even before either knew Tim. Notice the logo on Chance's shirt. SCS is for his previous group Street Corner Symphony. I recommend this video for Madness. Kind of offbeat and spooky, but it's my favorite of theres. Also, check out their first episode of Home Free From the Vault which shows the making of this video; the guys goofing around with family and the crew while still working hard.

We Home Fries were all good with it. Chris wanted to branch out, and we still support him. We just love Chance and think he's a great addition to HF. We also are big fans of the men's solo work. They're all still Home Free. They're great on their own, but together, they're magic!

Chance was in video's before this one, so everyone knew him well. Infact Tim's wife Jenika and Chance were friends before meeting Tim. There would never have been a Home Free if not for Chris Rupp the founder of the group. Chance was actually on The Sing Off season 2 with his group Street Corner Symphony. They actually got 2nd place that season. He is even wearing his old groups t-shirt in this video. You need to check out House Party which is one of the video's Chance was in before he was a member of Home Free. I enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.

I think almost all the fries were very welcoming to Chance. I think that was due to the fact the transition was so harmonious on the guys and Chris' part.

Once I found out that Chris had specifically found Chance and campaigned to have him join the group, I wasn't worried. Chris being one of the founders loved being a part of Home Free and had family reasons for leaving so there was not any hard feelings. Chris was also the one who did much of the networking for the group and what ever else comes along he has been and will always be a big supporter of HF.

I can recommend an interview Chris Rupp did with reactor QoFy in August 2021. Chris is very candid in it explaining why he left and that he actually was not involved in the recruitment of Chance, That he was is a rumour started some years ago. The pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark of the interview.

Chance was the bass singer for the group Street Corner Symphony which competed on the season of the Sing Off before Home Free did I believe. Acapella seems to be a giant family where everyone knows everyone somehow. Chris and Adam Rupp were the founders of Home Free so it was a bit uncertain perhaps but I had seen Chance on the Sing Off so I knew he was talented. Chance's versatility has subtly changed how the guys arrange but I love it.

It is an interesting interview but I just wanted to quash the rumour as it seems to have been resurrected in the last few days. Chris is a sensible and sensitive guy and I doubt would try to tell the remaining members of HF what to do in the future when he himself didn't want to be in the group any longer.@@highlyreactivereactions
