I think with James, he's always said he's not that shiny pop star that people like. Due to his anxiety etc I think he avoids doing all the interviews and TV appearances other singers do. I think sometimes he is very misunderstood and of course the media don't help. It's a shame because he actually has a wicked personality and is so so humble as you said. If popularity was based on talent alone he would be no.1 everytime for sure! Great reaction, more James Arthur please 😊

I'm not sure he's "misunderstood". I think his fans do understand and love his honestly. BUT you're correct that he doesn't fit a pop star mold and hasn't played the game always.. and because of his anxiety issues sometimes has been self destructive. It's his flaws that make the fans love and want to protect him from the vicious ones out there in the industry. IMO It's not "misunderstanding".. it's just evil egotistical icons that like putting those with real talent down.

It amazes me how he can sing the way he does while sitting down playing the guitar. He is a beast!🔥The way he makes his voice cry when he sings brings out the emotions in his songs. He is so underrated. 🔥🔥

I've been playing guitar and piano about 25 years. Been in several bands. Did production for major artists. I say James Arthur is the best in the business.

This human right here has a voice that is so bloody yummy to listen to! I always forget that he won X Factor in 2012, but that was the first time I fell in love with that sickening tone and that grit in James Arthur's voice. He is so skilled at making you believe every single word! I don't mind that folks underrate him because those that love him get to enjoy! Sometimes it seems unfair and takes a while for artists to get the notoriety they deserve but I'm super glad you highlighted him on your channel for folks to enjoy and fall out of their soul like I do when he sings. James is one of my favorites!!! This song is from a previous album.. his new album has great songs on it. Of course he can do covers and makes them his own.. But most of his stuff he writes.. a great songwriter!

James Arthur tells in an interview that he committed career suicide early on. He was doing some really eff'd up stuff, he wrote a diss tape to a rapper and called him "A F**king Qu**r" He got kicked off of Simon's record lable for it. (SiCal) James said himself that he went to far, he was young and new to the business, and got caught up in it all. He has EARNED his place back.. He is amazing and worked his ass off to get where he is. I seen him do his new song on Brittan's got talent last month, in front of Simon.. I think he's on board to be back in the game. His music is outstanding and he's humble. He's a good guy and we all have our demon's, we all made mistakes. The reviews like this one help him get there.

our initial reaction to talents like him is "he´s underrated, he should be much more popular!" but in this case, i disagree. he´s such a fragile person, such a troubled soul. more fame would completely break him. i think for him being able to make a living with his music is much more than he could ever dream of. and as long as he is capable of making HIS music, we should all just enjoy his genius and support him as much as we can. he needs to be supported, but also protected. may all that he wishes for his career and life come true, and not more. he´s not the person other people should project their expectations on

@charlie smith - you need to hear James Arthur’s cover of “wrecking ball” by miley cirus. He made a “cringe” song make you feel emotion. Easily his be artistic cover in terms of making a song better then that original.

His biggest downfall was Simon Cowel and the X Factor and the likes of stars like no talent stars like Elton john who doesn't believe in reality stars believe me I'm nearly 60 and seen Elton john live, but I've seen James Arthur 4 times live and trust me that voice is real if you take Will Young again a brilliant musician and vocalist James Arthur Susan Boyle and recently Calum Scott all talented one thing in Common Disagreements with Simon Cowel That's the Downfall

Bro your echoing what i've been saying for years,it really pisses me off when someone like Harry Styles ( vastly over rated) get more attention because now he's copying what David Bowie was doing over 40 years ago with his image. James Arthur is a far superior singer & song writer.
