Leandro Barbosa was an NBA player for the Phoenix “Suns”. Steve Nash also played for that team. When Dax says “I’ll son (Sun) you like Barbosa…” he is referencing the team name.

"Barbosa" was referring to Leandro Barbosa when he played on the Phoenix Suns with Steve "Nash" (the next word) "Oscar" was referring to the brand Oscar Meyer who makes hot dogs and stuff. "Strap" in that sense was a way of saying someone has a good shot in basketball or just generally good at basketball. Just in case no one else already said

Dude you say you don't catch bars from the first time? xD %10 of the reactors got the first scheme wrong "when he talked about the morning , sunset, afternoon etc" and you did a really really good job breaking what he was talking about throughout the whole video. amazing reaction but i kinda wish you went through the whole thing tho haha. i subbed to your channel and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to more Dax, he is indeed one of a kind like he said, and nobody's like him in the game today.

Ight so DAX dropped, rap demigod, application to be the next rap god one, rap god, rap god 2, and then application for the "next rap god 2" the one this is. Somewhere in there what's the "first album" he's talking about because he mainly drops singles but almost every week, and remixes, collabs, basically anything his fans want him to do hell do that but exceed their expectations. Rap gods were cool and all and I think this one was pretty alright but it's not where dax shines, dax is best when he has something to say and when he packs extra meaning behind it, check out Dear god, Book of Revelation Joker, Joker returns and why so serious. Shits fire💯🔥🙏🙏

Nice reaction, haven't seen a lot of reactor catch that many bars. Would love to see more from Dax. Also I think you would also enjoy NF. He's a great rapper and master at connecting songs and making references to songs 3 albums later. He also did a song with Hopsin and one with Tech9 on his last mixtape. If you decide to give him a chance I would suggest you start with one of the following songs from the Clouds mixtape: Layers, Lost (with Hopsin), That's a joke, Trust (with Tech9), Clouds

He is using black entertainment history for example,Hattie McDaniel won an Oscar for Best supporting actress for playing Mammy in "Gone with wind "1939. Also he's using so many riddles in this piece that sometimes is difficult to get it right away especially when you don't have specific references. Overall it's genius!!!

Having the Next Rap God 2 be your first experience of Dax can be tricky, because this one is more about his reaction to how people respond to all his other work, so if you don't know what he other stuffs are, and you don't know what the responses are, see where I'm going with this? First off, he has a remix of Eminem's Rap God, also he's calling this the "NEXT" Rap God, the first next Rap God is 10 minutes long.

This was a fun reaction to watch mate. When I first heard this all I could do was watch with my mouth hanging open! If you like Dax you should check out Tom Macdonald. His songs save lives. I would recommend I wish, Castles, Church, or Don't Look Down as an introduction to Tom. His music is life changing for real.

Great reaction and you did good on their beast. You worked harder w/o knowing Dax bars come in 4-5 theme lines and each line has dbl-triple entendres that are caused by taking a word usually followed by another by switching positions. LOL. So while you listen w/o realizing the next 2 words will change its meaning and the next 3 bars will draw the real picture. The Georgia-Illinois (2 states) and him killing bars giving him PTSD. Is reference the recent news in those 2 states where black men was killed by cops unjustly and how the country reacted with many people of color fearing their own demise for nothing. All thru this line he is talking and reflecting on current events, industry and social media etc thru the guise of words related to a person coming up in America.

I guess it comes down to knowledge of current affairs too because if I'd been aware of those specific killings I may have caught it.
