LUCY stands for a dog they used to play with near where they would practice! It also means light! They were created on the show Super Band, although they placed 2nd! This is perfectly timed! I just started getting into Lucy after absolutely falling in love with the song Snooze. I'm a kband enthusiast (my ults are Day6 and N.Flying) and Live literally no other artist is making music like Lucy! 😌

i think they're more popular amongst the musician & the music community than for general public. most of the members already have established carreer as a musician before Lucy, so they have a more sophistocated & unique sound. wonsang produced & participate in many songs for other idols before debut (for wjsn, for example). sangyeop is the king of ost & background music, even until now we somehow can still find his name in the credits for instrumental bg music somewhere, the list is loong. yechan's base is classical and i think he also used to be in an orchrestra, but decided that he likes playing in a band more and was in a part of a popular busking band. gwangil is a trainee for a long time, but his soundcloud discography is also extremely good. a lot of artists and musician admit that lucy music is complex and difficult for pop music and it's not the kind of music you can play in one go, you need to practice it. their audience is more for music people, i guess thats why they're super underrated. but they're huge in korea tho! they performed in so many festivals.

thank you for reacting to lucy !! they're literally the coolest and funniest band and their discography is literally so good, (they've actually made anime and disney ost like songs (opening and we will fly away) their lyricism, composition, production, arrangements, etc. are one of the best tbh i hope you check them out more, you'll honestly find out just how talented, relatable, and wholesome these dudes are, they're literally the cutest as for their popularity, they're pretty famous in the kband scene in korea (although i do understand what you mean by not hearing about them so much QQ but) and a lot of idols adore them so much, you'll be surprised XD anywho, thank u for reacting to them again !!

I feel like the reason you haven’t heard of them before is because lucy is not an idol band. Three of the bands you mentioned (day6, xh, and onewe) are idol bands, and the rose and lucy are not idol bands. However, lucy does touch the surfaces of being an idol band, but they are still not entirely one. Lucy themselves have also said they don’t care much about what people refer them to as. Lucy is also dubbed as the “kband scene representative”. For comparison, Day6 is dubbed as the “kpop band representative” Another thing about lucy is that all of them can sing! But only Sangyeop and Gwangil have vocal positions (Sangyeop being the main vocalist) and Wonsang have few lines + sings the harmonies in some of their songs. If you want more song recommendations, I recommend listening to the whole album “Blue” ! It only has 6 songs so it won’t be too overwhelming. Here are the songs: Rolling Rolling (the anthem of the adults) You’re Right (their b-side representative, this song never leaves their setlist!) Eclipse (Sangyeop wrote, composed, and produced this one) Dream (Yechan’s solo song! he wrote composed and produced this too) Hug (gwangil’s solo song, he also wrote, composed and produced this one) Sequel (you mentioned you love violin in a ballad, and in my opinion this is lucy’s best ballad!) p.s Wonsang is their main producer so naturally, wonsang is credited for most of their discography. I recommended this Blue album since all members wrote at least one song, and each song has a different type of Blue (their color). Lastly, I’d like to recommend “Flare”! This is their go-to encore song, and this is a favorite of most walwals! (lucy fans)
