I am Broken. Dad was always so proud of everything you had ever done. He would be smiling today knowing how you had taken your love for music and talent and had done something awesome with it. I can't listen to a single Beatles song without sobbing, so feeling for you and with you on this one.

Dear Chase, after seeing this video, for the first time ever in my life I am writing a comment to a youtube video. I am a 55 year old guy from Germany, who discovered Nightwish about 1 year ago. Short time later I discovered reaction channels on KZfaq and then, I found YOU, Chase. You brought lots of wonderful hours of of entertainment, knowledge and fascination to my life. You are a kind and wonderful person, and sharing your thoughts and feelings with us is like a precious gift for me, and Im am sure most of the other viewers will agree with that. Although we have never met personally and probably never will, you feel like a close friend to me. And while my friend was crying, his tears mixed with mine, as my friend's pain is also my pain. Thank you for everything you have done for us with your channel, and all the best for you and your beloved ones. We are all with you, Chase.

This song. Wow..... I saw my son born, emergency caesarian, and got to hold him while the surgeons worked on my partner. When he blinked up at me, the first thing I thought of was "He has my Dad's face. Same shape, same eyes, same hair (none), same teeth (none). He is my Dad - The next generation." .... No one is truly gone until the last person who remembers them is gone too. Be strong. I lost my father a while ago and then my partner passed away too.... They both live in on within me, my son and my daughter..... Metal is family. You have made your father proud.

I was watching your reaction and started crying because I empathized with you. It was only when I was two-thirds in that I realized I'm in the same boat because I lost my dad to cancer 31 years ago. And suddenly I was crying twice as much. I've heard this song a few times in both languages but it never hit me on a personal level until I watched it hit you today. Thanks man. Been a Nightwish fan since a toddler. And a Marco fan since he joined. Saw his album released on spotify a while ago and broke down crying in the subway on my way to work... My dad never saw me become the head chef i am today, but i know ill make him proud doing the best i can, and being the best i can be to people close to me. Just as you said. A note about this song and the video: Marko actually released the Finnish version of this album first. The music video was shot during that first release. The English lyric video is the background of the original music video. But enough about the technical stuff. This song is so beautiful and sad, but also hopeful. My father is such a huge part of my life, that when I hear this song, I think about what will happen when he’s gone, what will I do then? Even as a mother, I wonder about my kids and what they will feel when I’m gone. I cry every time I hear this song. I am so sorry for your loss Chase and the pain you are still going through. My grandfather passed away last year, and I know my dad is still grieving his passing. We all are. He was a tough old bird until the end when he passed at 92 years old. One of my best friends died of a drug overdose over 10 years ago...and that pain is still there. People will say, “well, at least they are no longer in pain or suffering.” But that doesn’t make the pain any better. But I think Marko in this song is telling us that though they are gone, and the pain is never easy and never goes away, those we love the most aren’t ever really gone. They are within us, and maybe, just maybe that can help us move forward in our own lives and live our lives for those who are no longer here on this mortal coil. Thank you this video. It’s a beautiful tribute. You’re dad seemed like one cool dude. Much love and hugs from Oklahoma. Have a damn good (and beautiful) day.

This is what Nightwish members are capable of - describing and free those deep feelings we all have inside our minds, hiding away while they are not comfortable - but it is important to let them out. Marco and Floor both writes and express these feelings incredibly beautiful - and Tuomas wraps every thing in incredible Symphonic creations. This is exactly why we love Nightwish and all the members - they can reach our souls - they do it - gently and carefully - and let our memories free. Marco is doing an incredible performance here. Thank you sharing Chase 🤘🤘👍

Never apologize for true emotions. I lost my father 20 years ago when i was still quite young, and I could see him losing the fight to cancer day by day. It still hurts and there is nothing to be ashamed about, some things break the strongest among us and thats completely fine. It keeps us sane, reminds us to appreaciate what we have I m very sorry about your loss. There is something to some cultures not mourning the death, but celebrating the life lived.

Chase, so emotional and painful. Sincerest condolences on loosing your father. My dad has dementia/Alzheimer's and I see him slipping away with every visit. I haven't been able to talk to him for a while because it is painful. After seeing your reaction and you wish that we touch out you have given me the courage to give him a call. I hope that you are feeling all the love being sent your way from this incredible community you have built and you might get some comfort. Your fathers voice is within you!

Bring him music! Music from our youth touches us deeply, and especially with dementia and alzheimers patients old beloved music can bypass the damaged parts of the brain and really light people up. It's worth a try if you haven't tried it. Last time I saw my grandfather alive he was just sitting, completely unresponsive at the dinner table, but when everyone started to sing he livened up, sang along and drummed the table with his hands.

There is no need to apologize or be ashamed of your feelings. Especially not when it comes to grief because you've lost a loved one. i guess that's what makes your reactions so special Chase. You feel the music, instead of listening to it. And i guess (and I say it cause I feel the same way) that's the ultimate connection. I am pretty sure your dad would be very proud of yourself and would love your channel, as we do. Take care!

I've lost some very close people recently. There's absolutely zero shame in showing emotions. You're an artist and that's what you do; you convey emotions. Godspeed to your dad and hugs! I'd recommend checking out any song from this album and especially the live versions from his tour. That said, I think you might really want to check out how this song sounds in the original Finnish as well. Take care!!!

This was such a touching video to watch, it's almost hard to write a comment on it. I don't think I've yet felt grief of this proportion in my life, and I think it's somehow good to get reminded every now and then that most probably will feel it at some point or another. (Reason why I love How's the heart so much). Truly felt for you watching this, and it's beautiful to see all the good will in the chat and in the comments, restoring faith in humanity. Take care, and focus on the part that makes you smile.

My heart goes out to your gentle soul ❤ Your dad would've been proud of you today seeing you're doing things you're passionate about. Love from parents can't be quantified. When my mom passed away, it affected my dad so badly- even his health. I can't imagine my life without him after my mom's passing. He's always been a strong supporter of what I do in life. I felt this and thank you for showing us the emotional side of you. We don't know each other well, but you do have a small part in my life since I discovered your channel. And if a sincere, socially distant virtual hug is the kind of offering people give in the comments section, you get one from me. Take care.

*sending hugs* I just wanted to reach through the screen. I lost my mum from the same too, back in 2012. I remember the first time I saw the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy and I broke down in the cinema. My mum also never got to see my channel or my artwork and I often wonder what she would have said, its only natural. As everyone else has said I feel privileged to have shared in your emotions and I'm sat here crying from the depths of my being having felt every step of those emotions alongside you all the way across the planet. This song found its way to you for a reason xx (Also just so you know, your videos have been a great comfort to me through the anxiety and stress of the craziness of the world at the mo. I genuinely look forward to Nightwish day each week, you are to KZfaq what Tuomas is to Nightwish!)
