Highly recommend “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” to be able to hear one of their earlier rock influenced songs with Zayn still in the band. It’s lyrically beautiful & everyone kills their notes in that one! It’s a tune 👌🏽.

The beginning of this song is still the best intro to a song they had. Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles voices both have a rockfish undertone. I wish they would do a rock song together their two voices together sound so good. Check out the live performance on ‘‘Where do broken hearts go‘‘ at the xfactor it’s so good. Or search for Louis x Harry solo mashups it sounds like heaven

If you wanna hear some of Louis ability, listen to Never Enough. One of my absolute favorites. Also No Control is allllll Louis. Louis has the most writing credits in 1D as well. As for Solo Louis, you’d like Kill My Mind. Also Miss You - which is not on the new album but is a good song.

When you said the thing about how cool it would be if Louis and Harry made music together because their voices would work amazing I LOST IT, there's a couple of edits where people have done that with some 1D songs and it does sound glorious, they blend up so well, that duo have the potential to blow up everything. You made the right choice reacting to Drag me Down Steven, it's one of the few singles I like, some of the video singles are just as corny (and cringe inducing) as what makes you beautiful.

This is one of my favorite songs because of Harry's high note and Louis vocals. You should definitely check out What A Feeling, If I Could Fly and I Want To Write You A Song. And if you want a great song with Zayn on it, here are some recs: Clouds, Where The Broken Hearts Go and You And I. Steven if you really would like to hear and see 1D with all the boys and see just what type of following they had and still have you should watch Live from San Siro concert . It’s long and you may not do a reaction to it . But I think you will be blown away to see and hear the crowd react to them and see just what they did together as a band in stage.

One Direction where judged harshly by many because of their XFactor start and the stereotypical “boy band” image, which they didn’t even remotely follow. Their voices sounded amazing together, as they aged they became more involved in writing and things went from strength to strength. They worked so well together it was a surprise to see them all produce such different music solo. Harry’s stage presence grew and grew also, something that has continued solo. I am so pleased you are taking a look at them, thank you. When I fell into the Harry rabbit hole I did exactly the same.

Liam has a great voice but the music he’s putting out now isn’t it. I think he tried too hard to be ‘mainstream’ and take the Justin Timberlake route. It hasn’t really worked out for him though. His songs sound like less catchy Justin Bieber rejects.

@@graceelizabeth3050 sorry but if you look closely during the five years of the band Liam became more RnB and "mainstream" throughout the years with his looks and all, just look at the remixes of steal my girl and drag me down (big payno) and even his spotify playist 23:55 is heavily influenced by rap and rnb with the occasional rock and electro. he's not trying to be something he's not he's just being something you don't want him to be

allison njamkepo you have your opinion and I have mine. We're both entitled to it. And it's not that he's being something I don't want him to be. I personally don't really care what he looks like or dresses like. I just find it hard to watch him and listen to him sing about the same thing in every single song. LivB I’m with you. People love Liam and they love his voice, but felt they couldn’t get behind his album. I stream LP1, but then I have eclectic taste in music and also have my own interpretation on lyrics etc. But I get the feeling as well that Liam probably needs good people around him professionally.

I enjoy that kind of music so I do stream the hell out of it but I do feel like it's not really him, especially the lyrics, I really hope for his second album he's more involved in the writing process and has some acoustic vibes to it since he's good with the guitar, he definitely needs to find his sound and he needs a better team. tho the online concerts he's been doing have been amazing so far

I was so excited to see this pop up in my notifications, and your reaction did not disappoint in the least. The one thing about 1D that pulled me into being a fan of theirs, despite being a bit on the older side and having a kid myself that was just a little younger than their youngest member, was the fact that their music was not entirely cookie cutter, boy band material. And as the albums progressed, they became even more different, and they were a more on the rock/pop end of the scale rather than bubblegum pop. Their last two albums particular, one with and one without Zayn, were absolutely amazing. But if you really want perspective on how these young men developed into the artists they are today, going through their catalogue chronologically is an interesting journey. As for Liam, my own personal opinion would be not to bother. While Harry is and has always been my favorite, and I have some issues with Zayn, the other four have put out some interesting solo stuff. Liam's has felt very generic to me, but Both Ways was the end of the road for me in having any interest in continuing to give him a chance. And I have not been alone in this. Even some of my friends who were hardcore Directioners long before me, and even a few that were hardcore Liam fans, were done with him after that. I honestly wanted to see all the boys succeed on their own, and it makes me a little sad that I just can't with Liam anymore. But that's just my opinion.

"if louis and harry were doing songs together" trust me, we really want it. their vocals sound so so so good together. however, in the 1d song "better than words" harry and louis do the bridge together and louis smashes the vocals. and (this is an older song so it's more bubblegum pop) in an old 1d song called "truly madly deeply" (only can listen to it on yt depending where you are), they do the first chorus together

I'm not completely aware of the whole situation with Liam, but I did hear a little about it and I think that he was kind of misinterpreted. I don't think that he meant any harm. Of course, I am not Liam (or whoever else wrote the song that was part of the controversy (Both Ways)), so I can't say for sure. But I don't think that Liam would have intentionally meant to hurt anyone.

He is listed as one of the writers for that song, but I think the lyrics were mostly written by a bi woman, and they have both apologised for the song. I understand why so many people are “cancelling” him even though I don’t necessarily agree with it (and on Twitter I read different opinions about the song from bi women, some say it’s offensive and some say it’s not)

One Direction had so many great songs...they are very underrated. Their music and lyrics matured as they got older and started writing a lot of their own music. On their last album Made in the am, they are credited as writing 12 out of 13 songs. Even their first two albums were catchy and enjoyable. It isn't just their good looks that made this band so beloved. Their innate charisma, their individual quirky personalities and their undeniable talent are what propelled them into the stratosphere. There was real substance behind their popularity but no one gives them credit because they were a "boy band". You will not be disappointed if you check them out.

Definitely react to their entire album “Four” it’s honestly their best album and it has Zayn still, but Made in the AM is also a bop of an album and has so many good hits

Also I always loved Harry in the group. Yes, Liam and Zayn had great vocals while they were in the band but Harry did not only carried like half the songs but also had great style and personality. He was a amazing even being the youngest

I know you've only just started looking at One Direction songs, but I really hope you check out when they did History on the 2015 X Factor finals - their final performance together. You should definitely also watch the One Direction carpool karaoke. & something none musical, I would suggest Dodgeball with One Direction on The Late Late Show with James Corden 😊.

So happy to see you reacting to this. I’m a fan of your Harry reactions. Niall had a beautiful debut album. Hope you can check that out as well as his and Louis’ upcoming albums. And definitely check out 1Ds last 2 albums if you have the chance, I think you’ll like them. Liam has a great voice, but I tried checking out his debut album and I wasn’t a fan. Everyone has their own opinions of course, but the material wasn’t very good and was actually pretty cringe at times

the lyrics to one song on liam's album are a bit "problematic"... but there are a lot of songs in this world with questionable lyrics so i don't think you have to "cancel" him because of that. i don't think liam was aware of how that song might be viewed as problematic. anyway… if you want to react to more 1D music videos maybe you should do perfect, midnight memories or best song ever.

Liam loves rap, and rap lyrics are... Well, rap lyrics. I don't think he realised the clash people would percieve when he, a 'clean' young boy from a pop group, sang similar stuff. (which is understandable but also a bit hypocritical)

I just remember Liam saying that ‘both ways’ was a major reason that his record label signed him and surely they’re meant to be experts here🤔...or maybe not🤨. There’s obviously some personal responsibility here, but I also can’t help feeling that Liam may have relied on the wrong advise (professionally). Nevertheless, i’m not with those who imagine he’s not meant to be a solo artist. I love him and I really wanna see what he does next.

It's two years later I know. but I saw Louis live yesterday and OH MY GOD! He is so much better live than in any recording or Livestream. It's a miracle I am still alive!

Dude I m loving your love for Louis! (and Harry too ofc but haha if they did a song together the internet would literally break ) I think you would probably really love Louis solo stuff, and you have to react to his album when it comes out. Kill my mind is definitely right up your alley and his earlier single Miss you as well. Louis sadly did not get a lot of recognition in ID, only in the last album do we get to hear him really sing as much as the others. He was the most prominent song writer in the band tho and its really becoming clear with his solo stuff that the he is one of most talented song writers and lyricists of this generation. And I for one cant wait to see him proper start his solo career now, he deserves the world!
