As self produced group, they always put a message ion their songs or concepts. You should watch Allergy and Queencard (in this order), by example. BTW even their old songs are almost 100% so good and interesting, and with many different styles.

The one you were referring to is the deep voiced girl who is called Yuqi. Obviously the other thinner voiced girl who raps is Soyeon their leader. They write and produce their music themselves.

I'm sure people have told you this, but Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi all write and produce for the group. Miyeon has also written lyrics on the last 2 albums. Soyeon has written every Korean title track and produced all but the debut. While Soyeon is the person behind literally everything - concepts, costume, hair, makeup, nails, you name it really - they are all involved in the creative process. They are almost entirely self-produced and Soyeon is now executive producer and was made a full member of KOMCA (the Korean music copywrite association) at the start of the year. On their channel they have a behind the scenes of recording some of their songs which really shows how crazy good Soyeon is - i think they started posting them with "Nxde", other than the one they did for the Chinese version of "Hwaa".
