I started Devin's locs June 1st with the comb coil method. This was recorded way back in July so his hair has definitely matured a bit more!

Great job. I’m glad I found your video .. I just got my first retwist this past Saturday and I got them started 2/23/23 so I’m glad to know mine are budding already cause I thought my loctician did a half job on my head 😅

Your locs are beautiful. You are so inspiring to me. I just counted my months and didn't realize its been 9 months. I don't know why I kept thinking I was only at 7 months. I'm like gurl give me all my time 😂. My hair is shorter at the top and it's driving me crazy. I need a retwist because my roots is thicker, yep thicka. Every since I found your channel a couple months ago I've been doing my own retwist and it's awesome. I just ordered Loc N and going to try it for the first time. 🤞🏿. I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos.

I just got my first retwist yesterday and they dropped way faster than I expected them to. They grew about 2 to 3 inches and I'm so happy with how they are going

So I’m considering going from twist to dreads, the after I get them starter loc, what’s the next step ??? I figured you would leave em in and let em loc but you have to the locs out and get them retwisted how long before it actually locs up and also be if it’s from twist to loca

His locs are so nice❤ do you have to use foam? my daughter had foam added to hers after they got started and i’m not sure if it didn’t dry good enough but it looked white the next day.

His locs looks very nice! I had the same question about the foam. My understanding is products other than oil based becomes embedded and remain in the locs and will cause build-up over time. I've come to learn that those who just use a combination of rosewater and vitamin-E to moisturize the locs and the use of their favorite oil to oil the scalp has healthier locs. Also, to towel/natural dry instead of the dryer. It will dry out the hair and scalp. In essence I'm saying doing less is more. Just my opinion of course.

How do I get my man locs to fall. I retwist it and the next day they start to curl up is that normal then a week later with religious cover up it gets frizzy

Hi! How far along in his journey is he? It can take months, even a year for some people to notice their locs "dropping"

if you have straight hair, then this style just isn’t for you. Your hair follicles will not be strong enough to hold the matured locs

I'd wait a month with starter locs so for the first six months. Then for 6-15 months wait 2 months then after that U can go 3 months

@@777Serenity4God I agree with you because locs definitely is not for everyone and its definitely a journey of natural growth which is beautiful. One can't be obsessed with neatness when it comes to locs. Without new growth there would be no locs. New growth equals a healthy scalp that produces health hair. :)
