I have an HD5 and love that bike. I had a 29er before and have demoed a bunch of different 29 bikes. Just haven't been a fan of 29ers. Just makes the bike feel too big and clunky to me. Having said that, would love to try a mullet bike, especially the new version of my bike. I've never tried a mullet. I "hope" I wold "hate" this bike and not want it. The Mrs would laugh at me if I wanted a new bike. Have you ridden the older Ibis bikes? The HD6 has a different rear linkage and curious how it feels different.

Looks crazy cool. I ride an HD4. Love it. Live in a super rocky area. Was thinking Ripmo for my next bike. Think I should stick with Mojo HD? Might be perfect, right? Oh, final question, how tall was the rider in this video?

It IS crazy cool! There's always something to be said about 27.5" bikes, but mixed wheel bikes are just as awesome. This thing is capable and just playful enough that you're not going to get bored. The Mojo HD is an excellent bike though. The rider in this video is 5'10".

I ride a specialized enduro pro with Ohlins coil suspension . Have you tested this bike and how does it match up with this Ibis HD6 ?

We haven't ridden that bike particularly, so we can't compare exactly, but this bike holds a lot of similarities in geometry and travel. We're sure they would be pretty comparable when it came down to it.

Great review, how tail are you guys? How was the fit on the large?

Thank you! We're 5'10" and 6'1" and the large fits us both very well. The shorter one may consider a medium, but not a necessary move when riding bike parks and racing enduro.

@@MountainBikeActionMagazine Im 6'2" and demoeing a large next week because of lack of availability of an XL, but was and still am considering the XL. Ibis' recommendation would be an XL (size 4). Thoughts?

@@fritzg.375 Go XL. I'm also 186cm tall and a reach of 500mm is a sweet spot for me.

Can anyone comment on size 5 reach vs. chainstay? I'm 198cm with very long arms (210cm wingspan :D ) and this reach seems great, but will this bike climb and turn with 540mm reach vs. 435 CS??? Any XXL frame users around? ;)

Right? I love the "playfulness" of a 27.5, but climbing on a 27.5 can be miserable especially over roots and square edges.

I still have an HD3 and HD4, I was hoping the HD6 would be a full 29er, no flip chip certainly lomits the market appeal, looks like I won't be buying the HD6, I'll stick with my Yeti 160.

I need to demo one. Im not sold on the Mullet. Being over 6' I really wish they had gone full 29r. Ill still demo and give it a try though. Its hard to beat my Ripmo though.

You should definitely try one out. That was one of our only hold-ups when learning about this bike but we think they did the right thing. It works incredibly well and is incredibly stable.

Ibis limited themselves by not adding a flip chip to allow a 29" rear wheel. We'll see how the market supports the commitment to mullet.

We agree, however, based on how it handles as a mullet, we don't think we'd want to throw a bigger wheel on the back. We're still in the testing phase though, so we'll see how we feel as we continue to ride it.
