This is my first ride on the 2022 Beta 200RR two stroke enduro bike.

I love the Beta bikes - actually ALL Italian motorcycles! lol I personally own a new TM Racing EN300ES 2t, but I'm planning on either buying a 2022 Honda CRF450RX or a 2022 Yamaha YZ450FX for a big bore four stroke...then later down the line I'm gonna buy that new Yamaha YZ250 and then purchase/install a BRC YZM500 engine that was just released in July! Love all these bikes nowadays...would love another TM Racing 2022 platform, but they are so expensive to get dialed as opposed to a Yamaha or Honda...meaning, I don't like stock engine or suspension so always get them rebuilt to higher performance specifications! :) You are rocking on all of these bikes! Keep up the good work, bud!

The 200s are great bikes. I had a KTM200 for a couple of years and that bike just plain worked. Sold it after destroying my ankle and not being able to ride for a couple of years. Just picked up a new KTM300 yesterday. I like to lug a bike and the 300 just lugs way better than the 200 did and its only a couple of pounds heavier than the 200. I can say the 200 made me a better rider.

Rode 4 different bikes at a Beta demo day,Xtrainer ,200rr,250rr and a 300 Race Edition recently. I really liked the 200rr best, noticed a big difference in the 2 maps and a little smaller chassis fit me best. Other 3 bikes I didn’t notice much difference in there maps.I liked it enough I ordered a 2023 200rr.Should get it sometime in August, can’t wait!!!

That was fun. I ride a beta 390 RRS out here in Southern California. Unfortunately about 99% of my area is desert. Of which I hate to ride in. Thank you for the ride report and taking us along.

@@wholesome4028 That’s funny because any chance I get I like to ride single track technical woods riding. Roots, Logs, Water Crossings, etc. Good Desert riders are an odd breed. Keep it pinned most likely the trail continues on the other side of that rise….. or it doesn’t 🫤

Getting this bike soon. This kind of verifies why I wanted one. I have other sachs suspension Betas and I like it and have had no problems. Race edition kyb’s are going to be valved stiffer . Thanks for the vid.

Also the shock on the race edition is a Sachs I believe.

Thanks for watching dude! I was riding all the bikes back-to-back so when I would hop off the race edition with KYB forks onto a standard fork it just didn't feel as nice. It wasn't bad by any means, but when you ride the two different forks back-to-back you can feel the differences 🙂

If they only would put kyb all the way around , I almost bought the race edition this year but sachs shock kills it. I went with the 22 ktm , first time off kyb since 09 .

Which ktm did you go for? Have you been riding Yamahas?

The Sachs shock preforms great and is designed really well. It is of the same caliber as a KYB or WP shock. 9/10 times the suspension function comes down to the tuner and a good bike set up (sag/fork height). If anything, Yamaha has the best out of the box set up. All riders have their own preference.

For singletrack woods and enduro the Sachs shocks perform better than the KYBs, thus why they’re on the standard rr enduro models and not on the race models. Love KYB shocks but for the type of enduro riding I do, I wanted a more enduro grade plush suspension than a tighter race suspension.

I used to have a 2014 RMZ250 and it was a great bike. If I have the opportunity to ride a newer RMZ250 I definitely will make a review video for it 👍

Ive been waiting for you to test this one specifically. As an enduro style rider i was debating between this and our 150s. I picked our 150 because of the weight difference on paper. Were you able to notice that at all? That might just come into play on very hard terrain. Thought it was worth sacrificing the extra low end torque.

This 200rr felt a little bit heavier than the 150sx but not enough to say "damn this thing is heavy!" The 200RR had wayyyyy more usable torque and that was very nice. I will say though, my 150SX pulls way harder midrange and up top than the Beta. Feels night and day more powerful. When I'm full on the throttle and have decent traction, its hard to keep the front wheel of the 150sx on the ground.

@@DerekHallman ok i feel like i made the right choice then. That super violent power is part of what makes the 150s so fun and rewarding to ride when you do it right. Also i do take my 150xc on motocross tracks a decent amount and thats really where the 200 would feel "underpowered" compared to the 150 not that i could ride the 200 to its full potential anyway 😂

After trying that CRF250R out a little while back, what are you thinking you next bike will be? Obviously one of the Betas you've been testing would work best in the woods, but motocross bikes are so much lighter and snappier. You seemed pretty comfy on the Honda though :)

How would you compare your ride on the 200rr to the xtrainer?

xtrainer felt like a smaller bike with loads of torque and a smooth easy-to-use power curve. The 200rr has torque but also has the classic two stroke snappy power curve. Both felt easy to maneuver through the trees.

How do your compare it to your 150? I'm on the 300rr atm but don't like the sachs front suspension. It's for sale and I'm looking hard at the 150 with the aer forks. Seems so good for both mx and enduro with the aer suspension and the light weight of the bike. 300s are cool but not that flikable rly. Very planted and slot of power.

@@DerekHallman thanks for your reply and input. Same as you I wish the 200rr came with kybs. So thinking I'm going with the 150sx. Seems to have so good weight to power ratio. Really like the idea of aer forks, easy to adjust for your riding. Enduro or mx! Keep em good videos coming.

Dude I really really want to buy a Beta 200rr. I love my TE150 but I just need a little bit more oomph. Im just worried I wont like how it handles as much. I have never liked how a bike turned as much as this TE150. My local dealer has a 23 200rr in stock right now. Ugh lol it sounds so good too

The 200rr definitely has more torque/grunt down low than the 150 but I think my KTM 150 pulls harder in higher rpm (I have a 2019 ktm150sx). I really liked how the Beta handled and felt comfortable pretty much immediately, but I definitely prefer the race edition KYB forks instead of the standard forks. We are planning another Beta demo day in January I believe if you want to come out and test ride them 🤙

@@DerekHallman where is the demo day at? I think NCMP is doing a beta demo day in December. I’m surprised to hear the 150 pulls harder on top. But I had a 2018 TE150 that was way stronger bottom and mid range than my 2022 te150i. The carb bikes just pull harder I guess. Kinda sucks wish TPI was stronger.

I think everyone likes 2 stroke more nowadays😅 Especially the lightness and the amount of torque on a 300 2stroke imo beats the heavier and ’stall-riskier’ 4strokes

You have a 150 now would your next bike be a 200rr race edition or a 250r? I have a 150 tpi now I want to go to a beta I like the light feel of the 150 but I shift a lot would there be less shifting on the beta 200 vs 150 or do you have to go to the 250 pay the price on flickeabity?

I'd choose the 250. The 250 has more usable torque and is easier to ride smooth and fast at a lower rpm through single track.

I just put a deposit on the 200rr last week but I’m thinking I made a mistake. Is the vibration Bad on it? I’m thinking a 4stroke would be easier to ride

Did you seriously put a deposit down before riding it? If there is any vibration just deal with it because it is one sweet machine.

Personally, I only noticed the vibration during the first couple of rides out on it. Maybe noticed it more because I was coming off a 250 four stroke after 9 years. In my case, I definitely get less arm pump and feel like I’m not gripping the bike as tight. The 200 is so light and maneuverable. Definitely not lacking in torque.

Lol so "betta" instead of "bayta?". Unless your native tongue is Japanese, I can guarantee you don't pronounce any of the big 4 brand names correctly. Do you pronounce Husqvarna the proper Swedish way? whOOskvahna?
