We are normally quite mild mannered.. a few lets say close encounters which the other rider did mention look “worse on camera” 😭

Just traded in my big Bike MT-09 for a KTM 690. Also doing the brake in right now. Man supermoto is so much fun. Cant wait for all the nice upgrades on your Hyper !

Yeah.. getting it track ready will be the first couple of changes and removing that rear drag tail piece 😂

I hate to say this...but may I suggest that some rider training may be necessary for all three in that group. Maybe by Rapid or similar.

@@verncampbell1690 We all have different rider skills and levels of experience.. every road ride is sketcky in UK.. we don’t go balls out but we don’t ride like old men on touring bikes 😂

@@hypermotardking Road position, over takes into a corner with a car oncoming, overtaking at junctions and farmyard entrances, not reading the road and ending up in the opposite lane in a corner etc. If a trainer at Rapid or similar training school saw this they could comment more accurately; these are clearly just my observations. My view is making progress on the road shouldn't compromise your safety.

@@alunpiggott6452 we do pay attention and we have our comms all setup so any rider can warn of any hazards hence some questionable moves if out solo..

I got the 950 SP too.. had it for 3-years and the 698 is a close competitor for the riding i do

For the normal user the 950 is the better allround bike. But whatever fits you ? I mean you dont drive a ninja h2 just because its faster than the 950 , different kind of fun.

Its a new bike for him.. jump up from a 600 and his first 1000cc… he’ll slowly learn power isn’t everything 😂

@@hypermotardking ahhh ok makes sense now. I remember my first 1000, I’ve owned a lot of bikes but the 698 hyper is the best all around machine I’ve ever had. The amount of confidence it inspires is amazing. Glad you got your bike finally man 😎

Are you using cardo or sena ? Break in really hurts

We all use the Sena Mesh.. all our riding buddies have it. I have a wired mic inside my helmet to my gopro and it barely captures the crackly conversation.. I think Cardo for vlogging has better gopro/bluetooth connectivity

I’m looking at a hypermotard right now. Would love you to do a comparison as I’m looking at the 950 but I’m just not sure now. Why would you keep both?

For me its more about my brand and the channel.. makes sense to have both and compare because not many will have both.. i will eventually keep one

@@hypermotardkingwhat hyper will you finally leave in the garage? If you had to choose a single bike for a city and weekend trips around town what hyper would it be? Next Tuesday (4 days left) i will have to get either 950 (2022 year) or 698. I already made a deposit but didnt make a decision yet. There is no testdrive in my city, so i have to choose without it. Thank you in advance!

@@victors3803 Thats a hard one.. i haven’t done a side by side review. My goto at the moment is the 698. If i walked into the garage id grab the 698 keys.. but thats because ut suits the riding i wana do.

You don’t need to use the clutch to go into a higher gear. Just roll off slightly and shift up. True for any bike.

I swear i did this sometimes either by mistake or auto-pilot thinking its got a Q/S 😂

Just use the clutch for a smoother change from 1st to second then clutch free the rest. Used to do this on my RD125, so much better.
