I know this is a few years old, and I haven’t even tried a single tandem jump… yet I have a feeling I’m already falling in love with skydiving! After looking into it a good bit, I’ve decided that if I enjoy my first tandem jump as much as I think I will, I will take a week off of work and get my AFF!

I got my A-Lizence in 2020. Have about 28 jumps now. My goal for 2021 is to do as many jumps I can do and improve basics. But in the end, I want to work with students as a coach. This would be my Main goal in a few years. I love your videos, keep going 😁

Vog is the top, i was warned by my instructor to wait for more jumps before an audible. But vog ain't a normal audible, is worse, tells you the altitude 😂 so you have a hard time remembering checking the altimeter 😁 Always check your altimeter, also get the habit paring it with visual (distance to ground), just in case both stop working mid air.

I too have only gotten a few jumps in this year so far. Those that I did get in though I was able to use my new Altimeters! I'm loving the LB Quattro audible! Thank you Catherine @SkyDiveVibes see you all in the Sky! "FLY BABY FLY!"

Catherine - great to "have you back" I've missed your awesome videos 😍. I watched your landing pattern & your final was interesting as I was able to see your target "sweet spot" relatively easily 👍. I've been watching "accuracy trick under canopy" & talking to instructors but I seem to be struggling to get this right (not bad but not great). I'll give this a go next time I jump.

I got to jump my new gear the first weekend of July and having the brakes adjusted. Feels so awesome being back in free fall, what a rush!! Going back on Saturday and how to get in 4-5 jumps then my reserve needs to be repacked. Love your videos!

Love your vids, im still waiting on the curve I ordered, proubly 6 more weeks, I cant wait. TIP avoide using class cleaner on helment visor ,the ammonia in the cleaner will cause crazing over time,looks like small cracks.I learned the hard way by screwing up plexi glass boat window. Soap and water solution works great Blue Sky's

Because of your G4: try the vmag bracket. it is really great and the people from denmark will be happy to send you one to present it ;) Brian Germain thinks that's pretty good too. repack every 6 months?! Germany is very well known for its excessive security (I think it's good) and we only have to do it every 12 months ...

Have you looked at the Vmag chin mount for your G4? No drilling. It is getting good reviews.

I'm working on my aff started in 2018 I'm on my level 3. jumped my first tandem 2012 then again in 2014 kinda slow on my skydiving my wife and I are building our land so still slow.your videos are a very great way to stay in touch with the sport and most importantly safety and procedures.thanks for your dedication to such a wonderfu and expensive sport lol.nice video footage

I found in my life that skydiving is the absence of life for that moment and I can't always be up there but there's so many ways to be apart of it and you just do a great job. I believe for me it is something I allow Jesus to take care of and I know if the world does not collapse I'll be back in them Blue Skies. I'm not in a huge rush obviously but I always have a fire burning to go to the Drop Zone and I think that's more important than the skydive its self.

@@carvingwestward2011 Interesting. In fact, can it be a bit of anxiety to actually jump? It is totally normal at first. And also keep in mind that in order to be safer, being current is important. You might have to start your AFF again if it is too long in between jumps...

Oh hell yes its a lot of anxiety even for me to break my ankle right now would not be prosperous.no I won't restart my AFF im on my third I'm still with instructors I think you would be pretty right if it was my fifth or sixth and it had been a couple of years and I was packing my chute.. scared of the Skydive no I love it anxiety of affecting my wife our future plans yes that's where my anxiety comes in. I hope to do 3 4 5 6 and 7 this fall when the dz is slower.i talked to them a few weeks ago Covid19 has not helped.then next spring I can jump towards my A license. I do also like the idea of my riggers license we live in Oklahoma where moving to new Mexico America were five hours from Moab utah 5 hours from skydive Arizona 9 hours from denver Colorado. It'll come together I'm thirty-five and it's a 5-year goal for me to be a rigger and at least a A licensed skydiver by the time I'm 40 is that possible?

You're lucky to get to jump in Canada we all jump for our own reasons at our own pace had I not talked to my drop zone I would not know any different but they told me I didn't have to restart I participated in wind tunnel course in 2019. I think the key is to keep your neck bent up arch arch arch. Really Thanks for your videos they are great and I've been looking forward to seeing some jumps.

Great video. Question about the Aon2 alti. I have the dekunu and though it’s an amazing alti, I jumped it about 45 times, but when in direct sunlight in free fall or under canopy, you can not see the screen at all! How is the Aon2 in sunlight?

I’m just starting my skydiving journey I’m on my aff corse 2 Level . My question is do you ever get nerves when the door opens right before the Jump? If so do you have any recommendations for how to overcome it?

make it a habit. fake it until you make it. trust yourself, prepare yourself, repeat the basics with students. with years the feeling becomes less acute, but more substantial. because, with years, you learn more about and understand the dangers. To answer your question: No one can prepare you. I usually take deep breaths, focus on my breathing, visualize the whole jump and landing on the way up. I check my pulse, my gear, my helmet, I remind myself it could be worse, etc. Get used to this feeling, don't try to get rid of it. If you do lose all sense of danger, have a hard think about your mental condition...

My instructors told me to get in position to jump, poke my head out of the plane a little, to catch the air and one deep breath will calm you :) how's your skydiving journey going? Still nervous when jumping?

Hi there! I just completed my Cat-A jump and I'm super excited about finishing my licensing process and diving head first into this! I know rigs can obviously vary in price, but how much could I expect to pay for my first rig roughly..??

If you go the used gear route maybe around 3500 to 4000 is a good price.

Got my first 3 jumps a week ago. It was a crazy feeling again... missed it. But my 4. jump was the last for the next 3 weeks 😅🙈 i injured my foot on landing 🤦‍♂️🤣

Yes, tunnel is expensive... but it is worth many jumps!
