First Snow of 2023 - Case 445 & 8 Foot Bucket

Today on Around The Yard we use the case for 445 skid steer, and the 8 foot snow bucket to clean up & plow the driveway from the 5-6 inches of snow we had this week. We also push back the snow on the south side of the driveway so we can see traffic coming from the south. I think the Case did a pretty good job today. Really wishing that I hadn’t hit my shin on the trailer hitch, that really hurt. Anybody else take a trailer hitch to the shin?

You’re going to need one soon. Find a nice used T140 bobcat or ASV30/40. Neither takes up a lot of space and they are quite capable machines.

Wish it would stop snowing, I have things to do in the yard, but it’s pretty difficult when it’s buried under a foot or two. I’d gladly give the snow to southern Wisconsin.

I love that vintage of case machines. The later series 3's 2010 and later are my favorite. I own a 445, 2-450's, a 450CT and a 465 (all series 3) ranging from 2008-2011. They are all beasts. Although after market "all weather" tracks do far better then the factory "dirt" tracks in the winter and dedicated "winter" tires perform far better then any typical 12-16.5 skid tire.

@KT Customs - This 445 has an aftermarket Loegering VTS track system with Camso Zig-Zag tracks. I’d like to try a tire or tire/chain combination for winter once to see if it would run better. I have found I can get “stuck” on a gradual incline that has been polished with wet snow or ice.
