This is apparently the first Standert Kreissäge RS Black Widow in the UK following the sellout launch earlier this year. The owner contacted Nic and I and asked if we wanted to build it. Why aye, man!

Yeees! A new build video! Love the format and the calmness. The whole lineup of SRAM road AXS on one bike🤘I also went for the Red crankset because of the weight but is to cheap to buy Red for the rest of the components.

Yeah, interesting innit. The rival shifters are the best shape at the mo. Force being black is my fave. Personally i’d have put a black crankset on. Maybe an Ingrid.

Awesome build!! Standert bikes are soooo cool. Cool spec as well. Rival shifters, Force derailleurs and red cranks. Great combo so it seems. Price/quality wise great choice imo as well as looks. Red cranks looks way better than the rival/force ones. Also saves a bunch of weight.

yahp every bike with sram rival out of the box, first thing i would do, even before wheels is to upgrade it to the red cranks, ou chainset, they use the same mouting points i belive

Perhaps Sram has stock availability. And let’s be honest, if you’re in the market for electric gears Sram is a LOT better value than Shimano or Campag.

Sick bike! What is the deal with standert frames? How do they ride compared to other aluminum bikes and carbon bikes? Why would i get this over carbon?

Standert has great marketing and the bikes look beautiful, but in the end, isn't it just a stiff aluminum frame with no way to control compliance through varying the lay up schedule as you can with carbon? I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer Steel or Ti, if I'm going to throw down that kind of money.

@@Jimmidoesstuff standert kreissäge. Not the rs version. About 100 grams heavier and no internal routing. Built it up with stam rival 2x, deda components and lun wheels. 8.4kg

Finally a Standert build! But imo, those deda (aero/modern) bar and stem doesn't fit the "classic" aesthetic of the bike. I know it's the owner's pick but just giving my 2 cents.

I’ll be honest, i agree. Not a fan of those bars personally. I love a simple round bar with compact drop, and classic stem.

Fully agree when it comes to aesthetics, same for me. On the other hand, listening f.ex. to Josh Poertner (owner of Silca, ex product dev. ZIPP) - aero handlebars can be 20-30watts gain. At the end it’s to everyone’s taste, if you prefer looks or performance. A shame this doesn’t always go together. Cheers

Not very wide. I’m sure their website gives a max tyre. I imagine it’s under 30mm.

Hey do you mind commenting on the finish? Few of my friends ride the first and second gen one, and had some issues with paint chip and cable routing

Routing was fine for the build. Bear in mind it’s eTap and disc brake so not exactly challenging. The finish was fine to look at but not a clue how it’s going to last. Sorry, I can’t be of more use.
