Loving this. Not used to seeing “simple” car content. Everything on KZfaq always has to be so extra. Still a shit ton of work I’m sure.

The chair for the transmission killed me, it's so funny but really clever XD That being said, I've found your channel less than a month ago, and watched almost all of your videos by now, and I have never found a car channel with such a good vibe. It's chill and very well detailed, I could watch hours of your car content really (I've already done it with all your videos) I love your editing style, and how you're so chill about everything, without being over the top like other channels I wish your channel to grow a good community of car people :D

I have you say it's fantastic to have someone like yourself showing that anyone no matter what their background can enjoy getting in the workshop and getting dirty. I often find as a mechanic it can turn people off from taking me seriously as a photographer and pushes me into a certain demographic. Massive respect for this Chanel and I hope that it will help open people's eye's to how creative both passions are 👊

I will say owning the very same model, this will be a very reliable car. As i commented in the earlier video, i got mine for VERY cheap and it is the best car i have owned. :D

Amazing! It is at once suspenseful and terrifying watching you get closer to starting the engine. Man, congratulations. This seems phenomenal for your first time. You're getting a lot of video made at the same time as well. One or two more episodes maybe until you drive it! Cheers!

Verb, your idle issue reminds me of a leaking intake manifold gasket I had on my Subaru Legacy. Smoke testing wouldn't show a leak, it would hold pressure and boost well, but under vacuum (like off throttle and coming to a stop) it would leak and act like a vacuum line leaking, i.e. run very lean and stumble. Maybe this helps you a bit. I found the leak doing a reverse smoke test, smoking outside the engine and see where its drawn in while snapping the throttle.

@wheelemverb How much knowledge of engines did you have prior to this project and where did you start your research? Do you have any resources or advice? I have a 2003 Volvo v70 automatic base model with 234,000 miles on it. It was my parents car. Lots of memories and I’d love to keep it going as long as I can. Thanks!

Yup, saw that bar already mounted in the next video. Hoping to see many more videos of you working on Volvos, as I do own 1999 S80 and I love that car ❤️ Also, I’ve changed all 6 plugs with this bar on the car in my Volvo with no problem whatsoever, maybe in S60/V70 there is less space in the engine bay than in S80 🤔 Greetings from Poland, man! 🇵🇱
