An interesting thing about this story is the reporter gave the texts to ESPN way back in 2017. ESPN could've released them right away. But Porter was a nobody back then. So ESPN kept the texts on the chance that Porter would one day become someone powerful and worthy of destroying.

ESPN had this information since 2017 and because the woman didn't want to do anything at the time, ESPN decides that it'll withhold the information from getting out. If you know someone had 'commited a crime' and you do nothing about it, you are just as complicit!

Why are they acting like the manager forcefully imposed himself on this woman & commited sum criminal act? Yeah he seemed thirsty, but it was harmless thirst quite frankly none of anybody's business except the sender & the recipient. Not like she wasnt into it. ESPN showed the conversation & she was into it up until the marriage talk, then she stopped replying. If she really didnt like it she should have told him to stop when he kept sending messages back then instead of having him constantly sending messages after initiating in the convo. This is too overblown & not surprising considering ESPN is nothing but Entertainment & Sports Propaganda Nonsense

This happened 5 years ago, it was known, he apologized 5 years ago, and now he is fired? I mean, the behavior is totally inappropriate, but so is the response.

This guy made enough money through illegal securities trading practices that he was able to buy a baseball team. Everyone in my industry is shocked they let this guy buy a team so close to the Astro's scandal since Cohen basically ran the Astros of hedge funds and got banned from the industry for a few years as part of his plea deal. No surprise he wants to look tough on this issue since sexual harrassment charges against his new firm were brought up as a reason to prevent him from buying a team.
