It wasn't just DJJ that changed the dynamic of the defense. I'm so sick of Windy frfr.
@martelljhixson25 күн бұрын
PJ and Gaf were big in the defensive boost. Klay only have to be a good help defender. Mavs front court can handle some pressure. And the back ups for Klay are good defensively and are streaky shooters. Klay just needs to avoid being a liability defensively and they will be okay.
@jameslabastida316825 күн бұрын
Klay also still guarded a lot of the top forwards/guards even in the last two years. It’s really Klay >>> THJ && Naji + Grimes

I would laugh my ass off if the Mavs and Lakers met in the playoffs and Klay cooked LA lol. And I'm a Lakers fan lol. I want to see Klay cook GS too.

Hey, let’s settle down a bit. How many “Wow, they’re going to run through the league!” signings have we seen that haven’t worked out. And while I agree PG and Klay are great, even Luka and Kyrie had difficulties. Putting a group of great players doesn’t always work out and Klay hasn’t been able to move as quickly as he used to, to get open.

I put a word in for Klay with J Kidd as Jason is a Friend of a Life Long Friend. Jason isn't too proud to listen to someone who knows either! Note:::: Though I Firmly Believe Klay Is The Answer, He Is Not The Entire Solution Though. *** I Believe Coach Kidd and The Mavs Need To Look To Improve and Bolster Their Bench. They are not done! A job isn't finished until it's complete. Must Always Look To Improve and Never Ever Remain Satisfied Mr Smith!!!

Prime Klay would help, this version of Klay not so much.
@dhay0324 күн бұрын
Don’t have to be Prime Klay when you’re on the floor with Luka, Kyrie and Lively. Just gotta be great in shooting and okay defensively
@Bob-rw7yv25 күн бұрын
Actually he did and we let him walk away to New York Knicks. Brunson was that guy and we could have signed him for so cheap but the GM decided otherwise. He thought 💩 stains Kleber and Powell were more important. Dude should have been fired immediately after that but got lucky with getting Kyrie. But we would have had a better and younger team had he not fucked up
@AlesssK24 күн бұрын
we dont know that. Maybe Cuban said no
@invisobill212518 күн бұрын
I’ve said this so much because I keep hearing everyone praising Nico Harrison. He’s the noob that was working at Nike when they left Kevin Durant slides up on the presentation to Steph Curry, and he called him Seth. They blew it big time losing Brunson for nothing and having to give up so much of their future assets to get Kyrie (which was a good trade like you said, but it shouldn’t have had to happen). That western conference finals team from 2022 was buildable with Brunson, Luka, Finney-Smith, and draft picks. That was all they needed. But hopefully this new squad works out.
