One thing that helped the defense was, wait for it, Brady. He methodically works his way down the field, picking up first downs and letting the defense rest. If Brady was going 3 and out or scoring to quickly, the defense wouldn't get a chance to rest and would wear down. Brady did the same in NE. I don't think Brady gets enough credit for that.

The defense was awesome! But I was shocked to see people using it to discredit Brady. Like, dude… the offense scored 31 points while they pretty much ran clock for the 3rd and 4th quarter 😂 defense didn’t need to be great because they could’ve put up 40+ if they needed to. Both sides of the ball were playing outstanding.

Yep. It's the NFL, there aren't weak push-overs on the line. Every offensive lineman can block, just as every defensive lineman can get by a block. A lot of the extra that decides it is conviction and motivation. Throughout his career, guys playing with Brady can at times match his energy, like every fiber of their being 100% believes that if I stop this run, or if I get a sack, or if I make this catch, or if I disrupt this throw, we win the Super Bowl. Plus the offense putting up 31 points and winning time of possession helps a lot.

That’s cause patriots fans have a respect for broncos and their fans. Same as Steelers. The rivalry is a respected football one. It’s how as a bartender I have regulars from both teams. There’s actual respect there. I was nervous about Wilson going to Denver bc of how well they did with bridgewater. I didn’t think what happened did, but I was soo happy they beat the teams they have this year . Mahomes is an annoying Kermit the frog whiny turf toe brat. Complaining about his toe, meanwhile brady had surgery on his mcl after this game and still whipped Kermit the brat calling himself the goat

To me, it was more of a buc’s win. The offense was incredible, lead by the GOAT and for a team that has been in the pits and suddenly, playing the Super Bowl. The Bucs are being heard of. The defense was great, limiting a star QB to 9 points. So, more of a Buc’s win

Yes the Bucs got Brady, but don't forget part of the baggage Brady brought with him was a guy that was in retirement, a guy called Cronk , oh, and a leauge bad guy named Brown ( A.B. ). And an over the hill guy named Fourette . Gee , and all three of them got touchdowns

One of those games was when Brady threw a game losing interception but Dee Ford lined up offsides, and it went to overtime and Mahomes never got to see the ball. The superbowl matchup was just straight up unfair. Mahomes was on an injured toe that needed surgery immediately after the game so he couldn’t move around the same and the chiefs lost 3 out of 5 starting offensive linemen leading up to the superbowl so their line was in complete shambles against a Tampa front 7 that was outstanding. Brady threw for 202 yards in that superbowl, not exactly a historic performance, the Bucs defense did all the work and suffocated Mahomes. If you switched Mahomes to the Bucs and Brady to the Chiefs that night it would of been the exact same outcome.

@nopeteys2424 So all your arguments are based on hypotheticals. Same as the Pats against the Giants. "If Asante caught the easy INT, or if Welker caught that ball." In the end it doesn't matter. History will say Eli owned Brady in the playoffs/Superbowl like Brady owned Mahomes.

When Russell Wilson ran for his life, everybody praised the defense and run game. Russ later led the league in touchdowns while having one of the worst O-lines (2017). When Mahomes ran for his life in this SB, every body praises the ENEMY defense. He has been carried in this 2023 season by his defense, but still gets most of the credit. "It's hard to get anything done behind that O-line". I think this is true for QBs who who are subpar under pressure, such as Mahomes. Oher QBs carry their team despite it, like Russ. The media bias is pure insanity.

??? The defense was insane lol holding one of the best offenses in nfl history to 9 points. Tom Brady played with remarkable efficiency and deserved Super Bowl MVP but the defense was absolutely important.

Let’s be honest, whoever Vegas NEEDS to win is who will win. Football is a joke now, since legalized football betting, it’s ridiculous. It’s a true business now instead of an actual sport. The refs/vegas , the point spread, that determines game winners these days!! Just look at some very questionable calls at very questionable times, such as late in the game, the refs get the call and they make it, even SUPER late sometimes!!

The bucks won fair and square but Almost every single starting offensive lineman was hurt and not playing in this game also Patrick Mahomes foot was messed up he got surgery after the Super Bowl so I mean there is that but that’s the way football goes
