First time bleaching my hair at home! Dark brown to ash blonde using Brad Mondo’s guide

Hi guys, in this video I did the unthinkable. I bleached my hair and toned it at home for the very first time. With the help of Brad Mondo's guide and the internet, I successfully got to an ash blonde. My hair is not new to bleaching but this is the first I did it myself. By the way, I am no hair stylist or salon professional lol. Watch the whole video on how I got there and how many times I had to bleach my hair. Lastly, if your hair turned gray because of a toner, I got a solution! Don't miss it!

Ion Color Brilliance, Bright White Creme Lightener
Salon Care 30 volume developer
Wella T14 Toner
Wella ColorCharm 20 volume developer
Wella 050 additive
For maintenance:
Raw Sugar healing power hair mask
B Uniq purple shampoo
How much I actually used:
2 bottles of bleach total for bleaching part 1 and part 2
4 packets of bleach of the same brand for the roots
2 big bottles of the Salon Care 30 vol developer to accompany all of the bleach
2 Wella T14 toner bottles
1 big bottle of ColorCharm 20 vol developer
1 bottle of 050 additive

I’m really glad you said that you can bleach your hair twice if your hair can take it and just did it again the next day. I also have Asian hair and usually bleach pretty close together which would probably seem alarming to most but I think many hair rules of thumb don’t consider how tough asian hair is. After a first round of bleaching my hair doesn’t feel much different than my virgin hair 🤷‍♀️

Oh my goodness girl your hair turned out absolutely beautiful! For your first time doing this at home you did an amazing job! I honestly love the grey tone it had to it too and plan to try that on my next hair dyeing adventure.

when i saw this vid is 21 min long, i thought "i dont have time for this lets just skip to the final 5 min to see the result!". ended up, i watch this from beginning to the end! it is really satisfying to see the whole process, & the transformation slowly revealed! u look really gorgeous too!

Great Job on your hair! I loved how ashy it turned after the Lemon+Conditioner treatment, I've heard the horror stories of Wella toners turning hair grey but it did look pretty good. The ash after looked even better! It's awesome when our husbands help us with our hair too!

I have natural hair that grew out from being blonde and I agree CA stylists charge WAY too much and I noticed 99.9% do not accept cc's or checks they don't pay taxes and do cash only. That's sooooo illegal. I'm doing my hair like you on Wednesday, thanks for the video!

As you were putting the bleach on towards the roots your cheeks glow from the hair being lighter giving it a youthful glow highlight. I miss having blonde hair. Makes me look younger. Great job by the way. You're video is tempting me to bleach again.

I don't usually write reviews but I was surprised how well the lemon and conditioner worked! I was skeptical, especially because you did not show when you applied it but I tried it anyways. It removed all of the gray from my hair and I love the color it ended up being! Thank you

Have you done it yet? How did it turn out if so? I have lightened mine before a few times. I just did comb highlights which was a last minute thing, didn’t have the highlight cap or brush . So I used a fine tooth comb . I just needed to lighten my very dark hair a bit , so my tanzanite hair dye will show up more.

Gosh I remember as a teenager bleaching my hair 2 or 3 times in one day to try and get the blonde I wanted. I also remember tying my hair up in a ponytail and randomly cutting into my hair with a craft scissors to get that "choppy" look 😅

I bleached mine as a teen 4 times in one day with 40 volume my hair wouldnt lift anymore after that. So went to hairdressers they was suprised i still had all my hair.

Everytime I go to the salon the hairdresser doesn't bleach my hair first she applies dye on my black hair and the results are always terrible the hair dye doesn't show ... she's dumb ... who dyes black hair before bleaching ? So now I'm doing it myself ...

If your roots are growing and you like that Rudy look but you want it to look more polished you can add in a shadow root which is two shades lighter than your root color. it will help it look better as it grows in & Give you more time before your next bleaching session

I shown my partner this she has the same colour hair as you started and she’s going to follow this tutorial but she will do a floor remover first as she has a box dye on at the moment hopefully it turns out good this is one of the most professional videos I’ve seen on bleaching at home well done turned out great :)

@@Mini-wd7qzit can be damaging but as long as take care of it before and after and wash it left (dries it out) it helps your hair heal and stay healthy plus, imo it doesn't matter too much, hair can grow back and you might as well do something to it once while you have to chance, it's really fun!
