The snoring got me. I had a marmalade cat who would snore like that. One day when he was snoring particularly loudly, I recorded it on my phone as a voice memo. He passed away at the ripe old age of 18, but I still have that memo, and listening to it always makes me smile.

I'm glad he was so good at learning Cheese's body language! We call the "airplane ears" the "owl face." The fact that my kitty is a tortie with huge eyes adds to the effect.

I love that he adopted Bagel because he was worried about Cheese being lonely 🥲

He lucked-out as a first-time cat-dad and managed to score the best cat for a first-time cat-dad -- one that craves human attention but also likes its personal space!

This young man has won my heart. It's obvious how much he loves Cheese, & he made it even better by bringing Bagel home so Cheese would have a little buddy to pal around with when dad's occupied with work or whatever. Orange cats are the best

Cheese is so cute but OMG Bagel looks like a plush kitten doll. These are two of the cutest cats ever and their dad is adorable too. Dad may not realize how intuitive and sensitive he is to know that Cheese really could benefit from a sibling. After Cheese gets over his jealousy, you see the two kitties are bonded. Now if Dad has to go away for a few days he can do so without worrying about lonely Cheese. A PetCube or Blink cam can help him to keep en eye on them if he can’t leave Cheese in charge 😂

Absolutely love when people who don't know they're cat-people _discover_ that they are. Also, Cheese and Bagel could melt anybody's heart.

There's a little orange cat in my neighborhood and every time we drive by his house he runs out to our car to say hi. The sweetest friendliest little fellow. ❤

My pets helped me get through a lot growing up. I remember when I had to put my childhood cat down. He was about 15 or so. We got him when we was around one year old and he was a stray that we took in. (We did check for a chip and put up lost cat posters everywhere for 3 months. No response.) He was very loving and even though he would always want his own space when ever I needed him he was their. So one day I came home from work with cat shit all over the basement. Mother crying as she doesn't know what's wrong. He hates the carrier would do anything to not go in. So when we put the towel in their and he just got in and was like lets go. It made my heart sink. We took him to the vet and they checked him out. said he is on his way out and doesn't have long. We decided to just put him down and let him go in peace to make sure his passing was as painless as possible. He was always their for me and actually helped me when I was so depressed I actually attempted suicide. He helped me get through the dark times so I knew I had to be their for his. I held him as they put the ejection in. I watched as his soul went up to heaven to wait for me. Everyone I talk to always says theirs no way they could ever do that and ask if it messed me up and messed up my head? I always respond with theirs no way I could not have done it. He was their for me so i had to be their for him. Going home and cleaning up the last of the poop, picking up the toys, putting his bed and toys in a box. It was heart wrenching. A few days later I have what I think is a dream were I'm sleeping and I wake up to my cat on the bed, and he thanked me for what I did and that he is happy in heaven with our old dog mocha (They where best friends). My parents wanted to wait till we got another pet. They wanted to wait 6 months but it was only a month later when a friend of my moms at work showed her these 2 kittens at his animal shelter. They stood out to my mom extremely. So when she got home she showed them to me and my dad and we immediately got in the car and went over. We get into the room full of kittens and the 2 we saw online came right to us. The others wanted nothing to do with us. They are brothers. We decided to take them both home with us. We asked if they had any other siblings and the lady said the mom gave birth at the shelter and she had 3 but one didn't make it. That was 3 years ago. Today we call them Goose and Maverick and they bring so much joy to our life. I love them both. They play and case each other, they look out the window together. They are both very affectionate.

Cats are absolute angels when they have the right temperament. There was a feral cat who had a litter and her kittens were just like her, friendly and sweet. We adopted one of them (there were 2 boys left) and the guy who brought in the mom adopted the other. Sonny is our sweetest cat. Always happy, playful, etc. He doesn't meow, he squeaks. He's a year old now. Everyone loves that little guy. He's more social with other animals than humans, but he is very affectionate with his people. He always squeaks when he enters my room to announce his presence. Our other boy cat has horrible separation anxiety with Sonny and he cries and needs held when Sonny is napping Yes, my profile picture is a picture of him through a fisheye lens.

Ahhh my story is so similar to this one. Brought a huge smile to my face and if I wasn’t at work I would have shed a tear. Cats are so so good for people, and the man + cat relationship is so underrated.

You picked yourself a couple of great kitties. The most affectionate cats I’ve had have been male orange tabbies. You’re doing great even if this is your first time being a pet dad.

My cat Mashka (means little sister in my husband's native tongue) is the most clingy baby ever. But when she wants space she gives us the ears too, we call them attitude ears, she plops her sassy self down and looks at us like she's the queen and we're her peasants to do her bidding, which, let's be honest, we are in fact her peasants 😂😂😂😂

Our pets often save our emotional lives : they somehow sense when things are out of kilter within us and come and just BE with us. Plus they give us a reason to get up out of bed because we know they depend upon US for food, for water, for care. You're a lovely young man. AWWWWW you're such a great cat Dad. You've learned all of Cheese's little meows and what each of them mean. That's fantastic. I have a cat named Lilly. I call her my Lilly Bug and I know all of her different meows. She has one when she wants lifted into the sink for a drink....one when she wants to go out...a different one for when she needs in my basement to use her litter box and she doesn't like anyone down there when she has to go to the bathroom. They're our babies and we understand all their little meows ❤️❤️

Cats are so precious. Losing our 13yr old fluffball in December broke our hearts . Allergic to her, bathing her every 6wks she put up with it. This made me smile whilst breaking my heart. They are precious, look after them moods or not. They are there for you 100% but we never see this until they're gone..
