Not really, there are multiple kinds of jackfruit. Here in konkan we mainly have two types, one is solid(the one in the video and I like this as well) and another one is slimey. I personally don't like the slimey one. The texture of it is quite weird and has many fibers/threads.. Solid one is called "Kaapa" and slimey is called "Rasaal"

Malayalam word "Jaca." When Portuguese sailor Vasco da Gama first arrived in Kerala, India, they took this fruit to Europe. Over time, the name changed to "jackfruit" in English, while it's still called "Jaca" in Portuguese. The same story applies to "Mango," which is "Manga" in Kerala language Malayalam.

This fruit takes me back. My grandparents' house used to have a huge jackfruit tree and some used to weigh more than 30kg and were like a 2.5 foot ellipse. My grandma used to store slices of those fruits In a jar of honey and let it soak. You eat it, and it tastes like the best thing ever, and she also made use of the seeds to put them in curry. She taught me how jackfruit, mango and plantain's every part could be used to cook a dish that was healthy and absolutely delicious . Now both my grandparents are gone and that tree lives on only in our memories. Miss you grandma and grandpa🥺

Fun fact: i went to an Indian restaurant once and ordered something with Jack fruit, the whole time i thought i was eating chicken shredded in curry and jackfruit bits but turns out it was not chicken but actually the fruit itself. They can cook the thing (white bits, fibre type) that covers the sweet part into a meat like dish 😂 very tasty too.

In the Philippines It’s called “LANGKA” and we also eat the seed of that, we like them boiled! And it taste really good when you partner it with “UBE” the best combination. We call it UBELANGKA. And another tip, I have an awesome way to cut a Jackfruit or”LANGKA” Step 1: Your knife should be really *REALLY* sharp Step 2: Cut a circle in the top of the Jackfruit. Step 3: Pull the circled top. Then you have the Jackfruit “LANGKA” perfectly Cutted! I hope you can try my tricks and also if you still have your seeds, boil them, and it should be pretty *THICKKKK* oh sorry i’am LSS in what you say in your *TASTY* *KULFI* *VIDEOS* i mean’t to say is It should be *PRETTY* *TASTY* *AND* *GOOD!*

my absolute favorite fruit ever, in my place they even make chips of it. You don't need to cut them with a knife (the editable parts of the fruit I mean), just bite it and tear out a bit of the flesh to get the seed out, speaking of the seed I remember when my mom used to boil those, the gas I got afterwards was always worth it
