Bold to pick Jason to test out new controls. XD My opinion though: I can use a controller without thinking, but I do think the hitbox/fightstick would be better, if I could get used to it... and set it up right. I'd need more buttons, I think.

LMAO, Jason low-key is my goat. Yea, I agree. I didn't get to set up too much, but I can see running out of spots. You'd either need to sacrifice one or have a box with a few extra buttons. (i've seen those before)

Oh, that looks solid. I'll give it a go. My buttons usually don't look like that even on the controller, that's one of the reasons I was struggling so much LMAO. Here are just FOUR of my buttons: Triangle = Special Square = Left Attack Circle = Right Attack Cross = Jump Heaven forbid I share the ACTUAL controller setup I have LMAO. 😅

@@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 Ahh interesting setup and I can see that work well especially with s-airs. I do like having a dedicated button for directional attacks. I'm using a gamecube controller currently and have the directionals on my c-stick. You can do nice things like a retreating f-air, or faster spikes. Holding the c-stick also charges attacks which is nice. I also have L1 as up-attack, and R1 as up-special for faster up attacks.

My L1 is neutral and my R1 is special neutral. 😂 I think it's really cool to see how many different setups work for different people. I appreciate you sharing.

Do you have two controllers? I swear during this video, the controller magically changes from right handed, to left handed, to right handed again. Look at the beginning of the vid, you hold it up and the stick is on the right and the rainbow of buttons on the left, and you can see where the cord goes in. In the final thoughts, the stick is magically on the left because of the cord. What is going on there! I only thought this, because I'm like nah that controller has the stick on the right it's not for me, but then it was on the left! and I'm like wait... Honestly just remap, and change the deadzone to around 18 in each direction from the original what 58? way too much. I feel a stick would be superior in the end. Also with the new capcom fighting game collection with marvel vs capcom 2 and such comin' out soon! The stick will be supreme. ^^

LMAO, good catch! No, it's one. I was just flipping the image of me around (it sat better one way than the other during the match). That's actually insanely perceptive of you, holy cow. Also, yessss, I really want to get into that. I was too young to really appreciate a lot of these fighters, so now I have a stick I really want to go ham. Looking forward to that game for sure.

@@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 It's honestly incredible if the port is perfect, I have it for dreamcast. I've seen others try, but they had lag, loading problems, etc. But honestly, the dreamcast controller is not great, and the old school fighting games, you have to actually roll and do motion combos. Just near impossible with a normal controller. You kill your thumb. Can you imagine having to do a roll motion to do shaggy's uppercut? lol I don't own a stick yet for computer, so it's why I was paying a lot of attention to it. But the stick has to be on the left side. The buttons should always be on your dominant hand. Like a normal controller usually is. Makes so much sense now! You were using some poppin' magic of editing. haha!

That's funny, that's actually why I got a stick. I was like 70 hours into Street fighter but using the thumb on the d-pad for those executions was too much. (I played DJ too so not only did I have to do motions but I also had to hold) I started playing Tekken because it was easier on my thumbs, but now I have a stick I'm trying to get back into Street fighter and obviously I'm going to be trying my best to learn Tekken through it. Even though I don't really know what I'm doing yet, it definitely feels better than using my thumbs for the d-pad to execute.
