Alot of people mistake the meaning of aishite with obsessive love or yandere but it's a song about a girl that was pushed too hard into being perfect to the point where she's never satisfied to how people think how great she is

I love the title of this album too, it’s Utattemita which is “tried to sing” as a literal translation. It’s also the genre that Ado started under, basically doing covers.

Glad you finally reacted to this masterpiece! Would you consider doing an entire album review for this cover album (minus the ones you've already reacted to before)? Because it's really full of nothing but bangers! I personally really liked her rendition of Villain and Dawn and Fireflies too. Also, I highly recommend checking out her live performance of Show at the 2024 NHK Kouhaku music festival because Ado went HAAAARD on that one! Wishing you a happy new year!

When it comes to "Aishite Aishite Aishite" the cover by Kanade Izuru is definitely obligatory to react to Out of the covers I heard he takes the most liberty with the song with changed melodies, purposeful off-tune singing and a bunch of sound design stuff Great stuff, worth checking out.

got curious about this since I know Izuru is pretty versatile too but I hadn't heard of his cover. Well that was an experience, I second your statement it's worth checking out. The changed melodiies you're talking of probably come from the mixing having the harmonisations really loud almost alongside the main voice melody in most places, I maybe missed some details and other changes though since I listened to it only once, but yeah, the liberties he took are extreme lol, love it (he did add vocalisations during resting part I noticed it too). Ado has those inverting harmonies as well during the last chorus, but way down in the mixing, it's actually really interesting to try and listen to all the different layers of harmony throughout the song. One thing that makes me curious is who had the idea to harmonise the chorus though, cause the original doesn't have any, and not all covers have the harmonisations following the ascending bass line (the chord progression ascends while the voice descends) .

You might be pleased to learn he already reacted to Izuru's cover of this song. If you didn't see it, look it up, it was a good reaction. Not as good as this one (I personaly prefer Izuru's version over Ado's version, but Luke is not hiding the fact he is extremely biaised toward Ado in any of the reaction he does to her, continuously repeating she is the best vocalist or the best voice in this generation and all of that) but a very good one nonetheless.

I had been listening to ADO since July 2023 but mainly her top singles, knew then her talent was top notch, Hololive English Advent then debuts and then Nerissa pumps out 2 Vocaloid covers: Aishite, Aishite, Aishite and God-ish and was like "man Nerissa can cover an Ado song easily"....THEN I FIND OUT Ado covered God-ish, which blew me away, and NOW upon the album release see that Ado also covered Aishite Aishite Aishite, which by the way is followed by her cover of Crime and Punishment on the Album..... I'm still recovering from the constant eargasms this entire Cover Album has given me!!!!! You should just react to the Whole Album Luke!!!!

If you want another Ado recommendation i would say "Darling Dance" cover from Ado. There is also a live version of it called "ado does a cute darling dance" where she actually dances if you want to see that :D Also if you want another recommended artist i can highly recommend checking "Unnämed" out. She did several Ado song covers but also other stuff and i think she is one of the only people capable to get close to Ados greatness. I would recommend Unnämeds cover of Ados song "show" for a start. Also thanks so much for you reactions its so great to see other people being just as hyped as me listening to Ado :D

Linguistically, aishite is just an imperative form of aishiteru, "to love". But that word is very rarely used in actual speech. It's considered extremely serious and would most commonly be used at a wedding or on one's death bed if at all. What would sound obsessive is declaring it to someone that you aren't even in a relationship with at all. It's more common to use daisuki, which roughly means "like a lot."

I'd love to see you react to 'Kazari ja Nai no yo Namida wa' it's a great cover of a great song and my favourite song on the album. Your reaction to her cover of Kawaikute Gomen could also be fun, since it has a similar theme to Aishite Aishite Aishite, but contrasts with it completely and it's not a song you'd expect to hear from Ado normally.

Yeah ado's voice is top notch you cannot see a vocalist like her. She's so unique And I don't know if you notice luke. But Aishite Aishite Aishite is a Original Song to the one nerissa's debut song that you reacted Love me Love me Love me... That song was the japanese one and Ado expectedly nailed it.
