I liked this rendition of the track it melds notes so beautifully. He definitely has skills. However, his version conveys a chill relaxed tone to the track, which I find contradictory to the nature of the original and it’s lyrics. That being said, he does keep the quietly somber moments that the original track begins with and which run throughout the track as a whole. There are rock flourishes and also subtle little Spanish flamenco hints within his fingering too within his style that intrigue me and indicate he has had some training because you can’t break the rules until you’ve learned them right?!

He did that harmonic by touching the string with the index finger (to act as a fret bar) and plucking the string with the thumb or middle finger of the same hand. That's why when he did that harmonic, his thumb or middle finger aligned with his index finger.

I barely know anything about music and music theory. Learned a tiny bit a piano in the last year... But watching this makes me feel like hes playing the guitar like a piano in a way 😆🤷‍♀️ I might be totally wrong by saying that 😂😂 Plus playing the singing melodies, theres so many levels haha

The technique is similar in that he is playing both bass and rhythm with the guitar. Except it's more so with one hand. So you weren't too far off! 🤘🏽
