Its not a classic guitar (nylon strings) but an acoustic guitar (steel strings) using fingerstle tecnique which means no pick involved. He turns all the words in all the songs that he covers into notes so you could vividly listen to the voice of the original singer singing in your mind. He always produces one take videos without editing and its obvious that his recording equipments are far from state of the art so does his low end model cort brand guitar. You should really2 react to his cover of queen's epic song bohemian rhapsody ( brian may even uploaded that video on his or queen's official facebook either one) or if classical music is your penchant also then please react to his cover of pachabel canon D albeit the rock version originally made famous by a taiwanese musician. Alip works as a forklift driver (no idea if that is still his profession), obviously not born with a silverspoon up his ass like many other fingerstylist so didnt get the opportunity to attend the harvards of musical institution to hone his guitar skills, believe it or not its all selftaught. You can ignore or get amuse by the sound of kids screaming or a taxi honk in the background of all his videos, like i said his recordings were all done in the confine of his genuinely very humble abode using basic gadgets, a small mike near the guitar hole and a smartphone to record. By the way he is from Indonesia in South East Asia and in my honest opinion the crisp sound that he always manage to generate from his guitar (maybe its the perfect landing of his fingers on the guitar strings at whatever tecniques that he executes) is unmatchable, just my two cents worth, oh his arrangements too although they are covers.
