Her ability to interpret lyrics brings the cover into greater focus; I was fifteen when listening to Elton John sing this, but Angelina captured the lyrics for me; her vocals touch the soul reminescent of Karen Carpenter in her uniqueness of vocal purity of sound. Great reaction!

Here #AngelinaJordan showcases her musical prowess. In the opening she teases with vocal fry and a small melisma. The she displays her unheralded air support and breath control with a torpedo belt launch, bringing it down with ease. At the finish a sustained melisma warbler to ice the cake. Glad you reviewed this one.

NJ thank you for another wonderful reaction with Angelina. I love her version of this song, so soft, melancholy and slowed down and with those great vocal runs and vibrato she really changed this old Elton John song into a much more emotional song. From the first time I listened to her, with the lights centralizing her, the just hinted musical carpet (so different from the original song) and her yellow dress and the T-shirt with her portrait of a child printed, is perfectly in the character of her interpretation, it completely captivated me. She has the great ability to read songs, in an incredible way and doesn't need colorful or redundant performances, just a simple piano or guitar accompaniment is enough to do the magic. ❤️ ❤️

The lyrics of this song are very significant. Angelina did not sign the contract that Simon wanted, she did not want to be a present for his friends to open, she saw her career developing beyond that yellow brick road, hence no chance of winning the competition. Angelina got exposure to the American audience, only to be held back by the pandemic - just unfortunate timing...

She is all of Norwegian golden voise ❤️❤️ At the age of 7 she won Norwegian tallents,... . While other children were out playing, she went to the record beekeepers to listen to music. Jazz was, and still is the favorite... She was not always happy in school, she was so bored, "hated it" but as soon there was music she was all in ❤️❤️❤️ So she's a realy special young girl. And we value her highly.

Great reaction is always. I can see you become an Angelina Jordan fan, an angel! Any other Angelina song makes a great reaction. There are no bad ones! As for any other artist you may enjoy. I would recommend a reaction to Eva Cassidy. Eva was a jazz and blues artist who sang and was a master guitar player back in the 80s to the mid-90s. Her career was gradually taking off as she was beginning to be known as one of the greatest female vocalists of the time. However, tragically, in 1996, she died of cancer at the age of just 33. But her music has lived on and become legendary. Just after she was diagnosed there was a recording at blues Alley where she did a performance of approximately 15 songs. It is the only live recording taken of her. And the performance itself was legendary. You can pick the songs you like but my favorites are Somewhere Over the Rainbow, which is considered one of the best versions ever recorded, bridge Over troubled Water, Time after Time, Fields of Gold. Just go to Eva Cassidy channel on KZfaq. The videos are in black and white, and listening to her is almost a religious experience with the emotion she delivers and the improvisation to make the songs her very own.

The family probably demanded conditions in the contract and were willing to concede the win. AGT had been trying for years to have her on the show, but the family rejected the offers.

You may have noticed that she was totally relaxed aware of her power, and I'm convinced the judges knew it too. He was, she knew it and the others knew it, an out of competition. Time to time and she will be recognized as having revolutionized music also in the way of approaching art. She writes her songs, arranges the music of the covers and if necessary she rewrites the lyrics, writes books and designs the stage clothes with her grandmother - in short, a Renaissance style, and all at only 15 years old. @@nyima04011 Angelina’s talent was ready, her skills were significant but her mom and uncle really did the right things, just like they did after Angie won NGT. She has worked very hard to get ready for the steps you can’t undo. She continued her vocal training, worked on technical aspects of the rehearsal and recording aspects, performed for benefits, raised money for her causes, and entertained the prime minister of Norway (and the likes Quincey Jones, and Malala at her Nobel ceremony). She was tirelessly singing all over the world to raise millions for those in need, performing at festivals and before 30,000 in Korea. It is in this context that I laughed when the interviewer asked her if she was “nervous” about singing for Simon. Angie looked puzzled and answered: “No, excited”. Small wonder....

I just started listening to your reactions, so you may have alread reacted to "A Million Years Ago" (another Adele cover). It could make you cry! How a12yr old(?) can put so much emotion into a song like that, is beyond me. There are so many songs you should look into....all the old jazz, Cole Porter's "Everytime We Say Goodby" is flawless and her new original "7th Heaven", makes you want to get up a dance and Micheal Jacksons "Heal The World". Take a day just to go through her songs, it worth the time.

Living in Norway so got the wrong time be with you in 50 minutes, Jackson 5 I, ll Be There Angelina zjordan. Sick but still sings at charity concert for kids. She always shows up and still sounds amazing but her latest own original 7th Heaven is her own vibe but more pop/ jazzy syle.

Angelina has amazing flexibility as can be witnessed by the following two songs: Shield (she wrote as a 12-year old. Performed on Scandinavian talk show Skavlan. In the interview before Angelina sung, she said that when she sings she goes into an endless other world that is full of happiness. Angelina said the song's sound was inspired by the Bond films. Her favorite Bond films are Diamonds Are Forever and Goldfinger: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/orekiMWHsMiUpqc.html To show the incredible cross genre abilities Angelina has, when 13-years old she collaborated with the Norwegian EDM (Electronic Dance Music) duo TRXD, and recorded the vocals for the song Above The Water. Nice words from Simon, which makes him even more ridiculous, because it's one thing to invent the 'super fans' thing to avoid the more than foreseeable triumph of AJ by the popular vote, and quite another, is that the efforts of those super fans for fulfilling the orders of the 'boss', they won't even let her get to 5th place.

There was an independent poll at the time of the competition that had Marcelio Pomoy as the heavy favorite to win with Angelina a dominant 2nd place. I could have accepted that result has Pomoy had some vocal gymnastics which made him popular with the fans. But neither of them won and Angelina didn't even make the top 5. I am suspicious if there are even really superfans at all and the decisions are made by the promoters. Angelina had a special contract that gave them no rights over her so they had nothing to gain by her doing well in the competition.

Not even 5th, she came in the ‘unplaced’ group of ie only the first 5 were awarded numbers. Not known how the last 5 were placed, relatively.

@@robertvirnig638 That's true, although I'm not really sure that that was the final classification between Pomoy and AJ. I quote 'super fans' because it is the excuse that was sought, but it is more than evident that the results of AGT are subject to the contracts offered to Cowell. He feared that AJ would sweep in the contest and make no profit, let's not forget that there was a hefty cash prize subject to a leonine contract. However, it would have been more logical and elegant to tell the truth, that AJ was actually invited, not competing.

This performance was a bonus song for the audience. This is 2017 (she is 11 years old), at the Muse in City festival, in Seoul, South Korea. Angelia had finished her set, there was a long interval before Norah Jones was to start her set. Agree with the comments below, and in addition AGT fans love gimmicks over substance, so other acts got the votes. Angelina would not sell out to Simon or to the voters. She was going back to her plow to do the hard work, her way.
