First: Knuckleheads are fans of the band Five Finger Death Punch.... Second: there are many Avenged Sevenfold songs I think you'd like (at least ones I like better) As far as the gory, to me, the song and video are portraying how violent history has been all through the ages and how people have been abused and killed at every stage and how people (the audience) just seem to revel in it and we never learn from our mistakes. Then finally the audience is in the show being killed because didn't wake up to what was happening, that the people in power are still doing the same things. Hahaha... I typed that before the end of the video and then you got it... good video, guys.

Dont judge an art from its surface, cause most of metal songs have deep meaning with the lyrics or video. Its not like a pop songs with simple and catchy lyrics.

"So Far Away" and "Afterlife" are the greatest in my opinion. They are crazy talented, but this and especially "a little piece of heaven" are a bit different than their normal stuff. This one has a great meaning though.

Do so far away, beast and the harlot, nightmare, or even bat country. These last 2 aren't the usual from them. Lots of bands in metal transcend genres, themes, etc. In various albums and songs.

I believe the story is telling how even though we say we despise violence we find entertainment in it until it affects us. As the crowd left the room when the smoke from the show filled it. They were being controlled but even the leaders didn't act without the approval of the crowd, "Who is the crowd?" We are not subjects to the things that happen but we are participants in it. As the Emperor in the colosseum gestured for the thumbs up or thumbs down to decide the fate of the warrior. Now apply that to the thumbs up/thumbs down like/dislike here on youtube to decide if someone channel lives or dies and the fate of their popularity. There's nothing new in the world! If we don't figure it out the cycle will repeat itself. I think it is one of the most profound videos ever made, and my favorite.

I think its fair to say you guys have been requested the songs with that are very concept heavy especially with the videos, most of their videos have a theme or story but aren't gore centric and I do feel like the videos are taking your attention away from the actual music (please feel free to correct me in that regard) . I would recommend going with their softer singles like Seize the Day , Dear God or So Far Away or some of their harder but more accessible tunes like Hail To The, Afterlife or King or Shepherd Of Fire

"SO FAR AWAY" is the one you should listen to --it is about the loss of their drummer . But the video is way different then the two you have watched so far.

You shouldnt cast them out on those two videos. This one was them depicting our history as humans. But they have come out with some beautiful songs.

The chorus “tell me a lie, in a beautiful way” talking about political correctness and news media manipulation. History repeats lest not we forget the atrocities of the past.

Yea it’s gory but they just recreated history with puppets, unlike most movies thats just made up 1 and 2 not usually historically accurate. Hail to the King would be more in line with the type of stuff you all usually do. One of their better songs for sure, and not gory nd not too abstract. It's essentially a very modern metal song with a driving beat and rhythm and great guitar work.
