Their songs became more complex when they started writing their own music. Kanami the lead guitar is a genius composer. Their portfolio is deep and diverse, so continue the journey and see why we love the Maids. 2014's "Thrill" was supposed to be the last thing Band-Maid ever did. Their EP didn't chart and their follow up single wasn't doing well. Their management had scheduled a video shoot for the single, a sweet, gentle acoustic love song. That wasn't charting and they had decided to break up the band and go on to other projects, but the shoot was scheduled and budgeted for so they sent the band off to to do the shoot. The Girls decided they want to to perform the B-side, which they all liked, "Thrill" instead of the A-side. "Thrill" went viral and saved the band.
