it works for 2 reasons, #1 it's all true, just ask any black American, they'll tell you. #2 he is not talking down to anyone. He is by far the most popular white comedian with that "African persuasion" demographic.

I grew up listening to Red Fox, Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Eddie Murphy. Later, it was Dave Chappell that caught my attention. It wasn't until then that I found out how awesome Bill Burr was/is. And though there were many others throughout those years, these were/are some of the GREATS imo. I hope to see Josh Blue make your channel one day, too. GREAT reaction y'all 🖒🖒

I opened a Target Store in Taylor, Michigan in 1987. It was a suburb in the southern part of metro Detroit. Out of 325 employees we hired, we had 2 black people. There were simply no applicants! I was talking to one of them early on; he was a young black guy and he worked at the snack bar. I mentioned that I was surprised we didn't have more blacks working there. He told me blacks were afraid to go through Taylor. Was amazing and sad to find they had the same fear we had of going through a black area of town.

Bill Burr admitted in an interview (his own podcast actually now that i gave it some thought),that he went through a 3 year period where he feard saying something that would get him cancelled, but then he realized that it only limited his creative process so he went back to his old self. But you are exactly right, people have talked alot along the lines of "how on earth hasnt this guy gotten cancelled yet?!". Well, for thoose trying to make him look like a racist,Bill was good friends with Patrice O`neill and he even dated several black women, until he ended up marrying the final one. I have noticed some of the reaction brothas having that judgemental look as they first started reacting to him,but once they got all the feedback from the comments section, they were like "oooooh,he cool he cool!" hahaha. Bill is my favourite standup comedian, just beaten by Eddie Murphy. Other suggestions in regards to comedians: Theo Von (a master at improv, and has the weirdest and most hilarious stories to tell), Rodney Carrington (i believe this man is both a country artist and a standup comedian,he has that accent to go with it too, just naturally hysterical) To give you a taste i suggest: Rodney carrington part 1 (uploaded by channel Foni Ent) This channel has all the 6 parts if you end up loving this guy. Its Live From The Majestic. You cant go wrong with Gabriel Iglesias either,or Peter Russell, the younger a Russell the more savage and funny he is. Bernie Mac and Bert Kreischer is also good options. I dont remember what you have seen with Bill and not now,but Old Man Face,Some People Need Lotion are hilarious ones, even the really old but gold "How you know the N word is coming!".

@Rock_ Lee Well one thing I can't be called is racist. As a straight white guy who now self identifies as a gay transgender woman of color I support and stand in solidarity with America's systemic blah blah blah. Although I have been crushing it on the dance floor lately. My only concern is I used to love county music but now I can't stand it.

@rock_lee3145 As Dave Chapelle would tell you,if you are a racist you stay away from people of colour, same for being a homophobic, then you wont watch Empire (Jussi Smollet segment, look it up!). Besides, stop nitpicking as i also said he was good friends with Patrice O`neal, and might i add: wrote for Dave Chapelle, another good friend of his. YT comments never seem to evolve with time, its just that same old ignorant nonsence, trying to pick fights or whatever :)

Recommendation - watch Patrice O'neal's full standup, "Elephant in the Room" - one of the most brilliant and timeless standup routines I have seen in my life! The beginning in EPIC! It involves his observation of "a high value white woman". One of my favorite bits of all time! You won't regret the view.

If you ever see black people on KZfaq reacting to this, they think it's hilarious because he manages to say all that he's saying without truly being offensive - he's just being descriptive and pointing some real shit out without any ill will. Cutting edge for sure, but no maliciousness behind it, and people pick up on that.

In the 1970s and 1980s, a White person did not want to be north of 95th Street in Manhattan after dark because of the gang and drug problems. Murders were very common and numerous. I visited Harlem on a school trip and our group was running late to catch our train home. Our teacher made us run like six blocks just to get south of 95th Street as the sun was setting. The local residents must have loved the sight of 30 students and 3 teachers running through their neighborhood to get the safer part of the city before dark. That was NYC back then. Dangerous as hell.

People who would be offended by his racial humor are stupidly superficial. There is nothing racist about his observations. We all observe racial, lingual, and cultural differences, amongst others. Thats not racist. The racist chooses to make value judgments BASED on those differences.
