very very true about Lisa. she's very hip-hop street. she brings the grunge in blackpink. she always adds so much more to the song. so much so that the song that doesn't have atleast significant amount of lines for her usually is slept on. example - stay, hope not ,bet you wanna. most liked songs from the album - love to hate me and pretty savage both where Lisa raps.

Fellas...they have so much content to watch, even with thier limited discography, like thier live performances, IE, Tokyo Dome, "The Show", Coachella, etc...not to mention all the solos with the exception of Jisso...yet! and yes...check out the Light up the Sky documentary....really showcases thier thoughts and lives and they become global superstars.....

For me if Lisa was not in this group and I mean no disrespect to the other girls because they to are fabulous. I don't think they would have anywhere near the success they have without that young lady. We all know they're all talented but to make it in the music industry especially America and my own England you have to have something special and LISA has that. The more Lisa's star has risen the more it has got Jennie out of her hiding behind them. Together they are magical. Lisa on her own is unstoppable

Thanks for the reaction. They'll probably be coming out with another major album/comeback next month. The company hasn't confirmed an actual date yet, but has mentioned the "third quarter" and it sounds like they're also gearing up for a concert tour. The last major release was in 2020 and I believe they wanted to combine that with a concert tour too (which is really a very significant part of the revenue picture), but couldn't due to all of the stuff that was going on with travel restrictions and concert restrictions and so on. Since last year was still iffy and hard to combine a comeback with a concert tour, I think they decided to set the year aside for two of the members to do their solo projects (2 songs for Rosé and 2 songs for Lisa) and one of the members (Jisoo) to act in a weekly drama series ("Snowdrop). Jennie did a lot of work with the Gentle Monster brand and all of them also helped bring in revenue with various endorsement deals. The members have indicated that they've already recorded a lot of songs and have done a lot of the preparation work for the comeback. Funny thing is that the discussions, frustration about lack of new music and so on among fans is sounding this summer just about exactly as it sounded in early summer of 2020 just before they came out with their album.

I think of Blackpink like sunlight - sunlight through a window can be warm, but less sunlight focused through a magnifying glass can start fires. Most groups spread their light out over everything, whereas Blackpink has been focused since their start.

Yeah it's difficult to be a Blink. But I have to say I'm proud of us and the girls. Its sucks but if we trust anyone it's the girls themselves. They are working very hard of their next album. Their schedules are jam packed coz not only are they working on thier new album. They are doing individually schedules overseas and preparing for a world tour following the comeback. YG sucks. But hang in there. They will comeback and make the wait worth it.

I want to disagree to your comment 9:30, if every company had a BlackPink, you would think they would profit, but if BlackPink was with another company, they would NOT do better... for multiple reasons, 1. all music was produced by Teddy Park thus far, minus the collabs which Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa or Cardi B had major time in the creation period of the song. so this also goes for when the BP contract ends next year, if they leave YG and join a different company, who would make there music, it will not sound like it does now, as Teddy isn't making it anymore. it will sound different, so BlackPink woudnt be BlackPink for the most part. (now a group like Stray Kids, they create everything themselves, so if they move companies, no problem, they will continue to create the music they want) 2. YG has always stated, Quality over Quantity. Every song BlackPink has released, could arguably be HITS, Chart Stoppers, and even the B sides which do not get MV still sound incredible and most would say they need a MV or is just as good if not better than the main songs. 17 guarantee hits (9 MV) vs 200+ songs and you have 1 or 2 songs per comeback or mini album release. alot of waisted energy putting out an album for just 2 songs to chart. and each mini is 4-6 songs, while full albums 8-12 songs. 3. Not throwing Twice under the bus, when you compare songs and who is at the top at the end of the year, KPOP always chooses Twice over BlackPink, even though BP smashes the KZfaq views, and international content. but Twice has been used and abused since debute in 2015. 2 comebacks in 2016, 6 comebacks in 2017, 10 comebacks in 2018, 6 comebacks in 2019, 9 comebacks in 2020, and 6 comebacks in 2021. (285 total songs, and 39 MV) now it is up to the listener to say if every song is a hit, but according to KZfaq, it is what it is. 4. I do not have definitive proof, but when you ask who is the riches KPOP artist, BP is at the top, Lisa, Jennie, Rose' and Jisoo all in the 5+million and it isnt from the music alone, it is there side contracts. Chanel, Dior, Celine, St. Laurent. to name a few other Kpop artist, male and female struggle to keep up, maybe those who are in there second or third contract would equal up, but for the short time BP has been around, they are marketed right by YG, alot of haters will say other wise as they want music, but for the health, mental and financial aspects, BP is at the top. along with music and sponsorship.
