They are from South Korea so its called kpop though that is a misnmomer as its works as a all encompensing term for pop/rock r&b,rap/hip hop and rock/heavy metal etc but as for Blackpink they audition some walk in others open auditions with a record label/management company and are put though a pop star boot camp with about two or threee dozen other singers/dancers and they train for years in blackpink case they were doing 14 hours days for 13 days with one day off for 4 to 6 years in vocal and dance lessons public speaking, song writing and composition so they learned all the techniques and tools needed to be in this industry they also had monthly evals if you didnt make it you were cut and sent home so very few make it though these training years. They also live together during these training years and have a living space provided by the agency after debut. There names are Jennie she is from south korea but spent from age 10 to 15 in new zealand doing a homestay and did a walkin audition for yg entertainment she is Main rapper/lead vocalist (main,lead,sub in terms of skill level they had no leader but all share responsibility).
