great reaction. Hansi Kursch is one of the great metal singers of our time. Blind Guardian generally does power metal and are considered one of the most influential groups. For a heavier sample, I suggest one of their recent releases, "Blood of the Elves" or "Deliver Us from Evil". For an epic song, "And Then There Was Silence." I feel for your homesickness. My work took me around the world for a few weeks or months at a time. I assume you are a welder for construction. My little niche was mobile equipment design. BTW, bards were an ancient Celtic order of minstrel-poets, whose primary function appears to have been to compose and sing verses celebrating the achievements of chiefs and warriors, and who committed to verse historical and traditional facts, religious precepts, laws, genealogies, etc. Stay safe and keep rocking.

very popular is their performance at Wacken Festival. Look at the Video "Bard's Song & Walhalla". The newer songs like "Secrets of the american gods" are great as well... By the way....good reaction and taste of music in general ;-)
