This song is about being on the road away from family and loved ones. The blonde in the bed is his guitar while the mistress is the stage and the music industry. The spotlight refer to the media and he's not alone because he's with the band living his dream but he's still lonely because he's away from the family. "But tonight I sleep on a bed of nails" means that he's sleeping alone in another hotel room on the tour instead of at home.

@ 5:27 That is Richie Sambora on guitar. He is insanely talented!! Bon Jovi is a Huge rabbit hole to go down and Very worth it!!! This song is about being away from/missing wife, kids, family etc while on tour. They have many songs like "Dry County", "It's My Life", "Wanted Dead or Alive", "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Living in Sin", "Always", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Never Say Goodbye", "I'll Be There For You", "Bad Medicine", "Lay Your Hands On Me", "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", "Runaway", "Love For Sale", "I'll Sleep when I'm Dead", "In These Arms", "If I Was Your Mother", "In and Out of Love", "Born To Be My Baby", "Keep The Faith". I've seen them in concert and, man, what an Amazing show!!!

Gorgeous love song. Jon's voice is raw and emotional. Holy Ghost lives within your soul. Its about his wife and he longs to be close to her, heart and soul. The song is emotional and romantic. Please react to Livin on a Prayer. Its a fun vibe.

Ah, my late 80's, early 90's go to for any mood - Happy, sad, rockin' 😁 People have already suggested the big hits, but one of my favourites - I'll Sleep When I'm Dead - banger! The guy on guitar, Richie Sambora, was the not so secret, secret weapon for this group. He's done some great solo stuff too.

Jon and his wife were high school sweethearts. He's now 61 and they are still happily together. They have charity food kitchens and pantries around the NY and NJ area. He sings about missing his wife and being away from her while on tour. (Still touring although I would guess this will be their last? Maybe?) As for "holy ghost" Jon was raised Catholic although he calls himself a recovering Catholic. Don't make it creepy. The guitar guy is Richie Sambora. (the ex husband of Heather Locklear) Strongly suggest the official video of "Wanted Dead or Alive" as it shows some behind the scenes of the band on the road. As for live performances. ANY of them!

There is SO much great music. Start with Slippery When Wet album for the big well known hits. The. Got to Keep The Faith Album for when they went a bit grown up. Cracking album. Honestly there’s so much great music to choose from. He’s v good at writing ‘story songs’ - living on a prayer the original one. But find Dry County for another. I saw them twice live at Wembley stadium. Insanely good. What u hear recorded is as good if not better live.
