Boz Scaggs is a highly underrated and overlooked artist. The next one you should check out is "Lido Shuffle". His many other great hits include: "Jojo", "Lowdown", "Breakdown Dead Ahead", "Miss Sun", "Look What You've Done To Me", "We're All Alone".

This is one of those songs that, if you listen closely to the lyrics, slowly reveal itself to be much darker than they first appear. The guy is clearly singing this from jail, and Georgia clearly set him up and won't offer witness to his innocence. "If the ever let me out of here" "I did it all for you, G. won't you tell them for me, dear..."

Great song! The whole "Silk Degrees" album is great. Remember when it came out in 1976. It has a bluesy sound to it. Two of his most famous songs from that album are "Lowdown" & "Lido Shuffle". Some other songs are "It's Over", "What Can I Say", "We're All Alone", "Harbor Lights", "Jump Street" etc.

Great voice, awesome album. Brings back many wonderful memories.

This song is in fact great... and your reaction is priceless. Do you realize what the song is about? It's not just about a man missing a former girlfriend... it's about a man who inadvertently wound up with an underage girl ... and now he's in prison. It's given away in some of the lyrics.. like it wasn't moonlight, they were searchlights (because the police were looking for them). But regardless of that, the song is also one of my favorites of all time. We cover this song with my band.
